FACT: People are adapting: App Store ratings are increasing exponentially again!

Disclaimer: I like the update but I'm going to tell you why the recent rash of 5 star ratings doesn't actually mean people are adapting and changing ratings. I've posted this previously.

With Christmas comes a rash of holiday gifts that include new devices. Those who receive those devices and enjoy CoC need to download the game onto that device (which means the downloads go up, which we've seen with nearly all apps with a big user base jumping up in the rankings). The folks who download this are predisposed to liking the game or they wouldn't have bothered downloading it.

It's a biased sample just like the rash of those rating it 1 star immediately after the update were a biased sample. There's incentive for a group of one opinion to give a rating moreso than the group with the opposing opinion. Checking the ratings directly after an anomaly is rarely going to give a true picture of how things are really going for a representative sample of the players...bad or good.

When CoC is fixed, I'll just as equally fast change my rating from 1 star to 5.

As it is, it is a 1 star game for anyone who is a higher level casual.

If you're familiar with what the ratings have been lately, you'd know that the ratings have indeed increased pretty significantly lately for current version (I don't expect everyone to know that, but there have been a number of threads around the forum on it, so I think many know). 2 ratings don't represent anything, but the rating has indeed increased significantly over the past few days (as it logically should with Christmas having just occurred).

There was a thread yesterday about how there was a surge of five star reviews on the app store. Seems kinda fishy how an app that was on two and a half stars is all of a sudden back to four stars. Also you only showed us two reviews.

As you see, ratings of the current version are going back to the normal ammount, probably it will reach 4.5 stars in the next few days.

It took 3 weeks but people finally stopped complaining and whining and started adapting to the game.
And what do you think? Once people adapt, They love it!


I'm sorry for the complainers, but your little campaign failed.

CoC is more popular than ever and it's not going anywhere!

I hired a company to write my reviews on yelp for me. It cost 500.00 and results were guaranteed.
The company is out of China and has about 2000 casual employees paid per post. They advertise on craigslist. I found them and boosted my business ratings through the roof. Sorry but no app has ever had that kind of turn around. Supercell is spending a lot of money on advertising, damage control and such to stop the slide.

Take note of the accounts that pop in to make posts like this and do a search of all their activity. Supercell has a ton of false accounts and they are to balance out negative reviews. The false accounts come around, make positive statements about anything that's bad. It doesn't cost much to have a board full of bot accounts.

The game is on life support, supercell is in full damage control.

Go look at craigslist for yourself. They have, in every city posts seeking people to make posts and get paid and posts advertising that they will change your business forever for the better with postive reviews.

4chan itself has changed national polls, corrupted forums and such just for the fun of it. The new rating coming in at record speeds never seen before is suspicious as all heck.

Most people that hate the update have gone on to YouTube to spread the news about it and other gamer forums. Just because this one is swinging and the review magically turned around means nothing. Game still on life support.

Nothing to see here folks. Just an illusion.

The numbers always go up after Christmas as kids all over the world get new devices for Christmas and start playing games .. At first the game seems fun till you get to high lvl's in the game and progress comes to a near halt.. Wait a few weeks or months and the new players will be posting bad feedback an you will see...

Can we all agree then that until TH6/7 or even 8 that this a great game that gives a few months of enjoyment?
