oh yeah i forgot about that rule, if the attacker don't use at least 1/3 of your total troop capacity, you don't get shield regardless how much damage has been done.

the fact that your base can be destroyed with so little army indicates that your defense is horrible beyond believe, probably a defenseless base. start improving your base.

it's impossible to lose trophy on defense and not gain shield at the same time, provide some screenshot for evidence.

Neither of you will probably ever visit this thread again but I think it is fair to point out that the 50% requirement was reduced to 1/3 (or 33.3333% after the sneak peeks were released).

@OP What you have done is left your TH woefully under protected. In order to lose a defence that attcker has to get either 50% of your base for 1 star or your TH which is also still worth 1star. In this case you state that the defender only got 24% which can only mean that your TH was taken out.

In order to get a shield an attacker has to get at least 30% of your base and use 1/3 of his troop capacity in attacking you. Therefore there can be cases where a base is completely wiped out but not shield is granted as the base is so woefully lacking in defensive structures that attacking it is pitifully easy.
