    From what I know it's a fallacy. There have been two different surveys of loot (neither was about elixir specifically) and both showed people have more elixir than Gold. I just nexted through 30 bases quickly, and there were more bases that had more elixir than gold, than bases that had more gold than elixir. On what measure are people making the claim of an elixir shortage? Sure, some people are raiding inefficiently and losing elixir, but if it's not even to the extent it's reflected in storages then is it really a big deal?

    Some sort of army refund after you raid would help combat the shortage of elixir and requirement of higher elixir armies

    People dump their Gold into walls to prevent being an attractive target, so you tend to see more people with elix than Gold...

    plus a TH9 having 250k in available loot means he has around 1.9M of elix in storage and is not even enough to upgrade an army camp...let alone those expensive lab upgrades costing 6 million elixir

    Honestly, there needs to be an increase in loot all over the place.

    1. Spells and troops should cost less.

    2. Elixir for walls should probably be moved to level 10+ (or even level 11+ since TH9 is no longer the next to last town hall so they no longer need to have elixir for walls available to them).

    3. Both gold and elixir collectors should have one or more levels added to them.

    4. It should be possible to purchase spells with either gold or elixir (the choice is up to the individual player at the time he queue's the spell).

    5. League bonuses need to be greatly increased for both gold and elixir across all leagues.

    Finally, and most importantly, players need to stop making very expensive armies to farm with. If you barched before the update you can barch afterwards. It is very possible to get 50% using just barch.

    Also on this theme, more players need to make barch friendly bases. We all want an inexpensive shield and if we can't get it through town hall sniping anymore we should get it by letting people get an easy 50% on our base using an inexpensive army like barch. As long as we are in a high enough league the league bonus alone makes a base worth barching. Champs should be a barchers paradise but in order for that to happen we need more barch friendly bases and we need more players to barch rather than gowiping.

    It's obvious sc didn't predict to well what the changes would effect, there mathematicians must have missed something big.
    My builders can't keep up with the gold upgrades at TH11, but as most have indicated elix is much harder to accumulate.
    Im saving enough for GW upgrades but its very time consuming and fortunately my clan is winning wars and I've been successful in my raids and winning 1.5 mil of each in the wars, so that helps big time.
    Alterations are required, but even then you change one thing you effect another and sc don't have a great track record for changes of late.

    Imo bonus should be increased of 10% in Champ, 15% in Master, 50% in Crystal ,100% in Gold, 200% in Silver

    Defensive bonus on par on the attacking league bonus you're in.
    So if I'm in M1 and I get a defensive win , I'd get 160k of gold and elix + the amount of DE.
    This would solve 90% of the issues (and players will be happy to defend since they'll have an incentive) and be a great incentive to go up with trophies like SC claimed they wanted.

    Moreover no more resources will be burned for failed attacks balancing the economy.

    They raised the caps too don't forget. TH9 is up to 350K from 300K high also significantly lowers the amount needed in coffers to reach the cap. This happened at all TH levels though not just TH9. It makes the elixer commodity of the game much more volatile. Not only are we risking more, we are spending more to get it. It's not necessarily any one factor or the other causing a shortage, but it is the sum of all of them magnifies the effect significantly.

    50% of the increase league bonuses is barely less than what it was before. Barch up in champs and loot is not a problem no matter what is in the collectors.
