most styles of play are still alive...its just harder to execute them
I'm not a pro-update supporter because of the impact on my clan.
ive found several approaches that work for me personally.

I just wish that Supercell would make a statement about their next intentions!

    I don't wait 45 min..I actually wait between 90-120 minutes.
But the beauty of that is that you don't stay attached to the screen. You do all your activities during the day, and from time to time you get 5-10 min break and do your battle in clash.

Like I said, if we were not in this period I'd be doing a bit less, but I'm also spending less time in the game to get similar results and that's a big pro for me.

This is exactly the problem. Glad there is at least one high level player who recognizes this.

Nobody wants to work that hard for that kind of loot. Except for this player of course. It's nice to have the luxury to go big or go home, but for someone going to TH11 with no need for DE, you could get a lot of work done stress free without having to be so picky about your targets.

So while it's not a true "farming" strategy it's quite effective considering where this player is in the game. Not so many people are that lucky though or willing to trade DE for the other resources.
No my base is not maxed. I have IT and xbows maxed ,and aside from that everything is lvl 9 defence.
That's because I rushed to TH9 when I started playing and so I started to upgrade the AQ (and the king who was already lvl 10) after just 2 months I was playing.

I get attacked actually and bleed resources. But you should keep in mind that I fill the storages in about 2 days.
Given that I'm trying to keep DE as low as possible, during those 2 days, nobody attack me in the first day (as my deposit are not filled enough to be a valuable target) and on day 2, I get attacked (thanks to the pbt) at most 3 times during which I loose between 30-70% (I'd say 50% on average) of my resources. It's like not having performed 2 attacks out of the 15-20 I perform during the 2 days.

It might not be the most profitable, but it's very comfortable playing style.

But having to defend(they should call it having to get pummeled), every time my shield drops, kinda sucks.

please just stop. before the patch there was plenty of storage raids in m3-champ2. You just needed a war army to take them back then as well. And the patch brought nothing new to the table. This whole breaking shield nonsense.

Prepatch you could break shield anytime you wanted and would be back under a shield within 10 seconds of logoff. This is what many people did including myself, so it was basically an infinite shield.

The only people who love this change are trophy pushers who can now push 3 times up for trophies before losing getting 1*ed down. Making big armies for storage raids is nothing new, and the patch didn't make it any better than before. And for all the people rejoicing about no more collector raids, you could have just nexted them before and went after big fish. Going after abandoned bases was YOUR choice, you chose to rob yourself of casual war attacks.

All SC did was eliminate a large portion of weaker players and slowed progression down for the rest. Congrats.

I see a new strategy from this post. Raid. Wait for the troops. Drop trophy. Drop trophies. Drop trophies. Troops ready. Raid
