Thread: I'd never imagined, but this update...well for me it improved things pretty much!

My Heroes are maxed so I kinda Barch with Hogs... for farming. It's a strange combo but has a fast build time. No spells unless I have to.
How much loot do you get per hour?

Almost every troops is maxed and so are both heroes meaning it's likely the base is also maxed. There is no need to raid over and over once you hit that level. You can sit back and raid every hour with a big army like this when saving DE is not an issue. It's also quite likely that when you do log out you won't be attacked either except by a bigger fish. Nobody wants to work that hard for that kind of loot. Except for this player of course. It's nice to have the luxury to go big or go home, but for someone going to TH11 with no need for DE, you could get a lot of work done stress free without having to be so picky about your targets.

So while it's not a true "farming" strategy it's quite effective considering where this player is in the game. Not so many people are that lucky though or willing to trade DE for the other resources.

I am doing the same thing and playing the game the way Supercell intended is not so bad.

10 minutes of play. Go do yard work.
10 minutes of play. Go spend time with the family.
10 minutes of play. Go to the gym.
10 minutes of play. Go to work.
10 minutes of play. Eat lunch.
    Etc.
    Etc.

Sure beats tapping on the screen for 8 hours looking for TH snipes and abandoned villages.
Agreed. Part of me misses the fast loot from boosted barch, but on the other hand, I'm never tied to my tablet for a couple hours like I used to be. I even chat/donate more because pre-update my troops were always ready again when I got back to base. Now I chat for a bit before and/or after a raid before I close the game and go do something else while my army cooks.

Not had much time to play over Christmas but my log is this but imagine 13m45s build time between raids and that I have no use for DE:

If you think I didn't have to grind my ♥♥♥ off to max my walls you'll have another thing coming.

ugh.. some serious clueless people here. Yes you can still get loot if you attack every two hours with max heroes to do the brunt of the work for you, here's a shock for you though... the vast majority of the player base is not maxed and cannot play that much. If you are only able to attack 2-3 times a day this update has screwed you. It is no longer possible to progress as a casual player and that is the problem with this update.

I'm in it right now just starting my lv10 walls and I hate it already! Even when loot was amazing and easy to come by the hero/wall grind drove so many players to quit. It's tedious and time consuming but to come out on the other side really separates you from the rest of the pack.

The rally crazy part is that some people accomplished the wall grind back when you could only buy walls with gold. That's insane!

I literally just finished my walls a week after update and now a mid range TH11. I fee for you especially now that the you get booted in 3 hours unlike the 'good old days'. Keep on grinding brother!

The update has added lots of juicy storage raids. Only problem is you need a war army to raid now. That's fine for me, I'm maxed heroes at TH11 and have little use for DE(witches cooking). So all I need is elixir(not upgrading defenses). I get some pretty good raids up in champs, not complaining. But having to defend(they should call it having to get pummeled), every time my shield drops, kinda sucks.

The people who still need DE and elixir and can't raid several times a day are screwed. Before, the game fit many different styles and playing times. Now it is suited for the people who can raid a lot and hit storages with some efficiency. I do think more DE/elixir is leaving, then coming in, which might turn into a problem.

I see the update having the opposite effect of forcing higher players low to avoid being fully attacked when logging off. Everyone in my clan have dropped leagues, myself included.
