I'd never imagined, but this update...well for me it improved things pretty much!

I have been an active farmer since I started playing 14 months ago.

Now I'm a th10 moving to TH11 (tomorrow, defences and troops are not maxed).
Only thing I gemmed was the 5th builder.

I have to say that the way this update works made things better for me.
I do less attack (less than a half I was doing before and slightly less gold and elixir loot -more in this days due to the collectors gemmed. ) and so I spend more time on other things.

The way the pbt works I can make 4-5 attacks before being attacked (and I don't have to be worried since I'll be protected by shields). Being also attacks with war-like troops I'm also improving for clan-wars.
The experience for me greatly improved.

I understand for some the situation might be different.
But I thought I could give it a try to what SC wanted from us.
So I climbed trophies and started to perform war-like attacks.

I might not work for everybody , but my guess is that it could work for many who are disappointed right now, if they only give it a try. I repeat: I understand this might not work for everybody, nut it might help someone who's not giving a try.

Indeed like I said, I tried to adapt, and found that this different style suits me better.
6-10 attacks distributed during the day, and I can make nearly the same profits I was doing before.
And overall I'm even spending less time on the app, and have not to be worried about the being attacked etc etc.

If it's gold and elixer this player is after than this is actually pretty solid farming here. In this game you have to prioritize certain resources and at times you have to sacrifice other resources in order to get them.

Joke aside, I had that kind of loots pre-update BUT a LOT more (+snipe in champ3) and also lost a very minimal loot in the process (TH outside).

I am doing the same thing and playing the game the way Supercell intended is not so bad.

10 minutes of play. Go do yard work.
10 minutes of play. Go spend time with the family.
10 minutes of play. Go to the gym.
10 minutes of play. Go to work.
10 minutes of play. Eat lunch.
Etc.
Etc.

Sure beats tapping on the screen for 8 hours looking for TH snipes and abandoned villages.

If it's gold and elixer this player is after than this is actually pretty solid farming here. In this game you have to prioritize certain resources and at times you have to sacrifice other resources in order to get them.

It is an effective attack, but not an effective farming strategy. When I think farming I envisage loot/time. When you have to wait 45 minutes for Golems and hours for spells it is not a farming strategy.

My Heroes are maxed so I kinda Barch with Hogs... for farming. It's a strange combo but has a fast build time. No spells unless I have to.
