COC is way older than Boom Beach, and used to be a lot bett game! I played Boom Beach for about two months and dumped it, I've been playing COC for more than 3 years now, sadly the last update have made the game worse and it's not fun anymore.Originally Posted by twojays

I played it because it was the top at the app store in free games section, and decided to try and play it.

Yeah other way round, even if not everyone likes the update class is still miiiiiiiilllllleeeessss better than boom.
I played Boom before COC, I was introduced to COC by a couple of guys who played COC who were in my task force in Boom.
Things were different for all of us then, I was very close to maxed in Boom and the guys who introduced me to COC were quite low level in Boom but they were th10 and th9 in COC.
The th10 had nearly max defences but ♥♥♥♥ walls, the th9 was new but had all skulls for walls. I had th5 and no clue other than use cheap troops to go get resources to upgrade my stuff. What was instilled into my thinking was max everything in COC before you upgrade th, in Boom it's the opposite
I learned from these guys how to play COC and how to war.. How to gibarch, how to barch (went all the way to masters as th7 with barch and my th inside, just doing 50%) gowipe, etc. In return I showed these guys how to be successful in boom and told them what was important to upgrade and what wasn't.
Eventually I learned other strategies in COC and started giving my knowledge to the other clan members, and we had a clan that went to level6 in less than 6 months, with no major gems spent. We taught each other how to 3 star bases, because we had learnt that from the higher th in our clan had found out on their way up.
The biggest two differences between the two games are:
1: COC you don't upgrade th/hq until everything is maxed, in Boom first priority is upgrade hq as soon as possible.
2: Boom you can't drop vp/trophies, COC drop at will, Boom takes weeks of not playing to drop to somewhere where the pickings are easy
I personally used to love both games, I have nothing left to do in boom except go for the glory of leaderboards but I'm enjoying it, in COC however I have realised I won't progress fast enough anymore to ever to be able to challenge the leaderboards without spending far more than it is worth to me as a person.
BTW I had already got COC installed and was at th6 before these guys got involved, I was just making my own way...

I've never played boom beach
Well, the three games are basically the same in my eyes: You build your own environment from the ground to be better, bigger and stronger.
Clash of Clans: I have played for more than 2 years now, I still think it is a great game but I hope they will do something about the really bad loot situation.
Boom Beach: I have played it for a year, I don't like getting hammered 4 times a day so I lowered my victory points to 270 I am lvl 48, so that is low and I rarely get attacked, but I never attack anyone, just waiting for the resources to come to me, a rather boring game.
Hay Day: Lots of micro management, you can spend hours producing goods for the city and havest wheat and sell it to get the materials needed to grow your farm.
I like clash of clans the most, but the update changed a lot more than just th snipping, it took the fun out of the game because now all I see is very active maxed th10 bases with a lot of loot in their collectors, before I could have snipped their th, now I just press next ten times as much!
Hope they will do something about the loot situation.
Before the update I could farm 3 hours every afternoon farming for the huge amounts of resources needed for updates, now I do other things and my clan mates do as well, my clan has become boring.
In boom beach the resources will not come to you, all this rubbish about putting hq on the beach does not work, lowering vp only lowers the resources you can gain, the whole point of boom is learning clever attack strategies, you cannot next the bases, you find a troop strategy that works against that base. Join Alec's team its my mini there on its own, but if you join I will bring my main and teach you how to win in boom, just mention the coc forum when you join
