Boom Beach developers didn't make Clash. They are separate team but they all work for Supercell. I don't think clash has even lost its fun. Personally I think that the people who can't get loot need to farm in a better trophy range where they aren't getting hammered because they are town hall 7s in crystal or masters for example.

actually I found clash first than moved to boom beach (even tried hay day for an hour before deleting it) Now I am wishing I never found clash because it took over my life
Meh. Clash still better than boom beach. It just sucks more for us that were used to the pre update game. I hate boom beach. Such a dumb game.
your spot on shivampaw about that, if you look at the threads on the first week after the update this was the issue, some are too high up in the leagues but some eventually find their farming league spot.
dual abilities? yeah! keeps your weapons heavy
My brother downloaded clash for me
My clan kept up a campaign to get me to download boom.
Friends kept on at me to download hayday.
As for fun... depends on your definition of it. A lot of my clan find war fun. others like trophy pushing.
New starters will probably find their niche easier than those of us currentlly playing

I play because it's fun to take on tough bases and steal their loot.
Play clash of clans this is great! I will never play Boom Beach.
If you are offensive type player in bb. Most likely you'll like the coc more or almost same. If you are a turtle type or balanced. I don't think you'll like the current coc format.
There is no daily reward for vp/trophy. There is no defending reward. You can drop vp lot lot easier here. You have a penatly for hitting lower HQ bases. So only same level base you find in matchmaking and you need way lot more resources and time to progress in coc.
Overall, its a second job (atleast the time you need to progress in decent speed)
On topic, I like boombeach more and more I play than coc. I still love coc. But boombeach is more fun
