a poll should be made by supercell

i believe that supercell should make a poll for and against the update on forums and put a link on the coc app to the forums just how they did it before for one of the sneak peak and have the main question as do you like the update yes or no and then some sub questions after such as do you like the concept of raiding through shield and other features of the update and by making them closed questions they can use a program to total the responses as we all know they "appear" to be lazy. If they wanted a more detail answer they could have a last question asking for any detailed responses as to what they like/dislike about the update.

Yes I understand it will take them a lot of time to firstly create a questionnaire as well as provide the results but it would help us by knowing the fact that they are actually trying to address the situation that their users have with the update whether its positive or negative regarding the update and they could specifically find out what the users like and dislike.

I agree and there are already guys on the forums that have made polls where 91% of the people that have voted they hate the update. The threads that have made a hot topic and viewed by mods have been sent to the supercell developers.

Let's not forget that probably 70-80% of those people joined the forums to complain and disagree with the update. Those who liked it will just be playing the game happily.

but with sc creating an official poll it will help them and us the users get a clearer picture of the amount relevant feedback for what aspects of the update is good or bad.

If supercell wanted to make a poll they would have to create their own custom one through the game because it means people who don't play the game can't vote etc. And that's quite a lot of work...

but if they create a forum poll which used to be very simple until they removed it all they would have to do is provide the forum link to the game like how they done it for the sneak peak which overloaded the forum server and made it crash i believe?

Company already tracks all sorts of in game data & that is more valuable then any poll that can be put on forums or in the game.

Their are boom beach players and hay day players as well. Nobody can stop them from voting. Also it'd mean players have to register on the forum. (And many could always register multiple times - which would get them banned but their poll voted would stay)
