Thread: Walls,any point trying to upgrade them anymore?

    As I said in my thread stated Updating defense is pointless for defensing.

    So you can upgrade walls to remove extra gold of your base to avoid attacker steal too much from your base. But other than that. no

    If you are not attacked by the same level TH, you will be attacked by higher level TH troops. no mercy in this game.

    I haven't test it. But upgrade walls will make you worst as no more attack from the same level TH, only higher one.

    This guy gets it. The stronger your base, the better the attacking troops and spells. People with weaker armies simply do not hit your base nor snipe th to give shield. Eventually someone with a war army comes in and takes whatever.

    Even with the best defenses in the game, you also can't stop someone taking at least 2/5 of your loot. Guess what? My rushed account rarely lose more than 3/5 as well, so many millions poured into defenses to save a mere 50k loot? Not worth it.

    Never really looked at it like that .... Regardless , about the only thing I have a chance to upgrade is a wall piece 😃.... Saving millions for defence upgrades ain't gonna happen ... Wars and raiders keep DE down so I only lose 1-2k when I get wrecked

    I think level 9 walls are a reasonable balance point. They provide adequate protection (i.e., level 9 walls require three level 5 wall breakers versus level 8 walls require two level 5 wall breakers). In war, I've observed a number of attacks fail to get 50% due to level 9 walls. Under the new economic system, they aren't too costly (i.e., 1 million per wall) and they provide a convenient way to manage loot (i.e., generally keep loot available below 100,000).

    Walls are the diff between 49% and 50% imo.
    I flatten any th10 with Warden. Lvl1 or lvl 11 walls. 49% or 50% was the old coc. Now its a 3 Star game. The troops wont start hitting walls until core is Down anyway if you have just a little funneling skills. It Can make a difference if you get 80% or 100% but they wont prevent the 2 Star like the good old days

    Ive upgraded more walls since the update than I did in Oct and Nov combined. I stopped bothering since it was boring and I had no other upgrades to do but with th11 I needed somewhere to dump gold and my builders aren't working fast enough.

    As to the benefit of them it's only when troops end up hitting them, against wbs and jump they're the same. So I suggest you do the same as me and only dump resources when you need to.

    well op you have better defense then me maybe you are using the wrong army comp and im in crystal 2 barching nicely for loot some days is a wasteland while others its heaven my most common defense is a desperate th 9 failing to attack me and a cup dropper was 2 hours ago 100 trophies less had 3 cup droppers and the desperate th 9 take 80k gold and no elixir as I have none to raid and my de storage is deceptive as most farming armies will get sent the wrong way

    I just want my heros to max. At my current progress rate. My walls will be all lvl10 when my heroes are lvl30.

    how am I still winning several defenses then? I'm at 4400, I have 50% lvl 11 50% lvl 10 and a lvl 5 GW. I still win several defenses. Move up to where defenses matter and people have better bases and cc troops then tell me how you "flatten" maxed out bases.
