They decided to remove it 2 weeks ago. There was something in this game called farming playstyle with all things in game working for this goal. Now someone had a dream that this was wrong & decided to change. Wait till he next sees a dream about clan wars be not what the game was intended to have/be(although it is in the name) so the name will be changed to "journey to legend league". By that the game will be played by all as intended but wait who will be playing such a game? Only people who will adapt lol

Post update farming is good for me at the moment - barching in M1 / low champs is getting me very decent loot. I do have high hero's, & am using them in raids, so my raiding speed isn't that fast (i guess i could boost them), & the reason for farming being good is the amount of dead / dying bases i'm finding with minimal (<30) nexts.
I don't see this rich seam lasting for ever - feel its a result of others migrating out the league / giving up / xmas inactivity - but happy to ride it for now.
I think it's fairly obvious what everyone's opinion is.
I just can't decide whether it's too soon to leave this game behind. Too much hard work and time have been put into this game the last year or so I doubt I want to just give it all up now but I'm struggling to fund reasons to stay... argh decisions
Not max lab thobut no elixir lab upgrades.
In this update I truly don't just care about myself but about my whole clan. I can survive but many in my clan can't. They are still midway & have lots to do. Feeling the boredom across clanmate is something I've never seen in my clan. I'm too bored as well searching too long to find a target to hit with GBArch + Hogs. Now I'm using this since yesterday & it gave me around 1 million per hour which somehow acceptable for me. But the warden upgrade costs are so high to meet after few levels(currently 6 million for lvl9) based on current loot status

I tried... I dropped from 4200 cups too 2000 cups yesterday, took me 25 minutes... Can't say i was impressed by the loot in my old favorite league, but at least i don't get hit by maxed heroes and warden now...
Game is basically ruined as far as i see...
So sad really, it was so good..
Well....most people seem to have a negative opinion on farming....uh...is it still called farming?
I'm a fan of pre-update farming too. There used to be a time where you could get lots of loot, so much that your storages looked like they would break. But now SC has done something to it. Now we pretty much don't have anything else to do. At this point, there are 2 choices; adapt or quit. I've chosen to play on, for now, though I don't really know for how much more time I'm gonna keep playing.

Here's the way I play since the update:
I'm training up the following army:
Giants: 18x
Barbarians: 30x
Archers: 30x
Goblins: 30x
Wallbreakers: 3x
Healer: 1x
BK: lvl 15 / AQ: lvl 13
With this army you have to 'next' for a decent time, but I use this time to train a new army in advance. This way i only have to wait 10-15 minutes to attack again.
I use the gems i still had from achievements and removing trees to gem up my king, queen and spell factory. Assuming you only raid 1-2 hours this will not cost you more than about 15 gems. Those 15 gems are totally worth the loot i recieve, considering I only lose 10% - 20% of it when getting attacked.
I win about 75% of my attacks, and when I lose I still get loot. This way I remain around Masters 1/2/3.
So if you guys can find an hour or two a day, this shouldn't really be a problem in my opinion.
my thoughts:
1. Not that much of a difference for TH8 and below:
- they mostly get wrecked and 3 starred before update.
- new update make it possible for them to attack while shielded instead of breaking the shield (and get wrecked) to attack
- Farming armies are still fast and effective
2. TH9 takes some "damage" on farming:
- decent-strong TH9 usually got "sniped" quite easily (gold+, since some newbie usually snipe them for trophies starting gold league). Post update they are either get wrecked by TH10 or TH9 with high heroes, or are bleeding to death because of <30% stupid attacks
- Farming armies are still fast and quite effective vs other TH9
- TH9 with decent heroes (lv 20+ each) don't have any problem when both heroes are available
3. TH10 takes a lot of "damage" on farming:
- decent-strong TH10 usually got "sniped" quite easily (gold+, since some newbie usually snipe them for trophies starting gold league). Post update they are either get wrecked by TH10 or TH9 with high heroes and/or war armies, or are bleeding to death because of <30% stupid attacks
- Farming armies aren't effective vs TH10s because of inferno (and no heal spell vs infernos)
- TH10s with weak heroes (~<20 each) or upgrading heroes are screwed
- need more spells to get loot vs inferno
Giants, Barbs, Archers, Goblins, Minions and "standard" Loonion just don't have that much firepower to break trough infernos and get half the loot available without heroes. you either need to invest a lot of spells, or gem heroes, or use war armies. all three give minimum profit
Pre update: GiBarch, 6-7 wizzies, 1 jump, 3 heals. Cost: around 170k elixir.
Post update: GiBarch, 6-7 wizzies, 3 healers, 4 EQ, 2 heals. Cost: around 130k elixir and 560 DE.
Harder to find loot heavy bases where EQ would work satisfactorily but elixir savings are worth the change regardless of added DE cost. Sometimes end up saving one or both heals because healers do good work and that adds to the cost efficiency.
I could complain but that doesn't do anything so I have chosen to adapt.
