I did loons and got a dark barracks upgraded asap so I could start using lavaloon in war

Barch troops. The slight increase will help you out in the long run whether you're farming or incorporating them into attack strategies.

Alternatively, loons as max loons are fantastic.

I think you should quit the game mate. Go and learn some manners first. Am I a "noob"? Not at all. I've been playing for about 2.5 years and haven't been a TH8 in about 1.5 years. I did edit the comment before you replied as I was quick to realise.
