Let me offer some friendly advice for new traders:
*Do 1 trade at a time. Traders will happily wait for you to complete earlier trades.
* Complete trades you accept -- even if a better offer comes along mid-trade. It is considered polite to stick to your agreements. Reputation goes a long way here. Besides -- It will all even out in the end.
*Only use the last box in your stall. This reduces the chance of a drive-by buyer sniping the trade goods. Most buyers are not aware of the trading process, and buy trade goods thinking they are for anyone to buy.
I was watching the first box of a stall where a new trader placed the 1 wheat for me. Then when nothing happened after several minutes, I looked at the other end of their stall. At that instant I saw the trade goods. Before I could get them, someone else had bought them.
*COMMUNICATE before during and after the trade. This is why so many traders are on Kik. Kik is free, and it lets you send more than 1 message per minute, which is the forum limit. Kik makes things go a lot more smoothly and ensures everyone understands what is going on.
*REMEMBER that naming and shaming IS NOT ALLOWED on this thread. The mods will (and have) shut this thread down for two traders charging and counter-charging theft of trade goods.
Good luck to all new traders -- glad to have you here.
