Yup. This is exactly what I'm thinking. I'm very confused by the thought process here. Bits and pieces saying how a fix will take some time because it needs to be thought through. Well I got an idea for ya!!!! Don't create massive updates that under went little to no testing amongst the current playerbase. A massive update they claim took 3 yrs. So it's gonna take another 3 yrs to come up with anether new system????????

Not to mention SC increased league bonus loot and increased storage capacity for war loot in CC. All this took 6 MONTHS to iron out. You all can either rage quit on a spectacular game because I will admit SC fumbled the ball on this, or you can hold on a little longer and SC will fix it. They are listening because they have a good record of correcting loot shortage and making the game better. One thing that will never come back is TH sniping. It's gone. Farmers will have to come up with more efficient ways of gaining loot, and will have to save longer for the expensive upgrades.

They did try to make too many changes at once so in a sense we are playing a new game. A new game would go though an intense processes of changes early and would also likely be tested in a launch to a limited number of users. I've played serval games during soft launches and the bugs we got here pale in comparison to what some of the bigger studios have in their games.

Unfortunately though there was no soft launch for what amounted to CoC 2.0. It's up to the community to provide the feedback to fix the bugs, which are the #1 priority after any update. Fixing broken mechanics comes next followed by in game balancing adjustments. No studio developing games has the manpower to test major updates on their own. It's up to us the players to provide this feedback. And there are dedicated threads plus an entire sub forum dedicated to it. Real world testing by us is how a studio perfects it's game. The pre update Clash was not perfect, full of exploits and broken mechanics that everyone exploited. And yet they still got filthy rich with an imperfect game.

If studios tested their games in house to the limits that we as players push them most games would never even make it to the market. Imperfect updates are expected. The good studios adjust in a timely manner. SC fixed bugs right away. They are working on others, plus evaluating the impact of real world playing conditions on their game. So far after every major update they have never let us down. I'm willing to bet this time will not be different.

Great points here. I think what it comes down to it is they indeed changed too much on one go. So, in effect, it is Clash 2.0. I can more than understand how people are both excited about fixing flaws AND how others don't want a Clash 2.0.

This 2.0 is meant to slow down players, both the human and the machine-players. As we all well know, there will be work arounds and exploits developed for 2.0. I just worry that this penalizes the human players too much while temparaily fixes the machine players.

So, yes, they got filthy rich with 1.0; wonder what 2.0 with its 'revised' user-base will bring. I sincerly hope it's just as large and robust and excited to play.

To be honest I was hoping they would make CoC2 instead of just adding to this one. Every they add further unbalances the game. A new game with new buildings, new traps, new heroes and new spells complete with different mechanics is in order.

The original Clash had a fantastic run, but it's adaptability for future growth is severely limited. I think players would enjoy the new grind and the level playing field for all. It would be refreshing learning how to get the most out of new mechanics. There are many options they could add such as the ability to toggle towers or set their targeting priority. A true offensive and defensive masterpiece using the original as inspiration but providing a more complete end user experience.

It's all right there, but they prefer to accessorize the original instead...

So.. essentially they fixed all the crashes that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

They understood fully and completely that we'd be smashed multiple times and need to next even more (therefore lowering nexting and reload costs).

Yet still managed to COMPLETELY POOCH THE ECONOMY AND TICK OFF A MILLION + PLAYERS.

    (in my opinion).

    have i hit a nerve?

if SC is listening, why is there not a sticky saying that they are etc? This is one main bugbear amongst the community..ppl are complaining and it just doesn't seen that there is a response or acknowledgement from SC!

i dont think we are looking for a quick fix but some recognition that this new so called coc v2 is not working and not what the majority of the players wanted!

SC should not have made such a dramatic change in the game and effectively turned it into a different one in such a mismanaged way.

bring back a way to get shields, so ppl can be encouraged to farm and protect their well earned loot! I hear all the time ppl complaining about how they go 2 steps forward and then 1 step,or 3 even, back!

Isn't just your opinion, it's the opinion of thousands but I dunno what the shortened version of in opinion of thousands would be without sounding ridiculous.

While we're on the subject of is they're playing with us while it burns

In my understanding that is only his opinion. But being a previous mod (before stepping down for his own personal reasons included in one of Ash's videos) and being a part of the 'youtube inner circle' he knows more than us in the matter.
