Not to mention SC increased league bonus loot and increased storage capacity for war loot in CC. All this took 6 MONTHS to iron out. You all can either rage quit on a spectacular game because I will admit SC fumbled the ball on this, or you can hold on a little longer and SC will fix it. They are listening because they have a good record of correcting loot shortage and making the game better. One thing that will never come back is TH sniping. It's gone. Farmers will have to come up with more efficient ways of gaining loot, and will have to save longer for the expensive upgrades.
Yes, I do remember this. I am not advocating for a rage quit or a toxic environment. Rather, a discussion as the forum is intended.

There are two fundamental points here:
    1) Your example has how they've increased loot, all we've seen is a large decrease. Not only in new buildings, but also in spine loot generation. (I'm not saying bring back sniping- to be clear.)
    2) Six months to fix this may be too long. They changed a fundamental element of gameplay, not simple using elixir for walls. I'm worried that, without a large pushback from the community, it will take 6 months to fix. That might be too late for the many people who create a diverse Clash environment.

    Just some thoughts...

    Emphasis Mine.

They have ALWAYS listened and adjusted after every update once feedback was received. While it may not be as fast as some of us wish it were to occur, they are gathering the feedback, digesting it, analyzing data from their end and as Anoushka said "we need to carefully think of ways that will benefit all players."

Why is there no stickied thread displaying all this so that people who come here looking for answers don't have to search through thousands of posts/threads to find these???

It's not going to take 6 months to get a fix. It will likely be a series of small fixes along the way. What we can't have is a roller coaster up and down while everything stabilizes.

When they do add those fixes it's not a magic switch they flip either. Certain fixes require new coding and an in house verification process followed by a verification from Apple and Google. You may remember the mini update before Clashcon that rolled out later than expected. That was likely due to a delay on Apple's side as they were simultaneously rolling out a new iOS at the same time. Even a tech giant like Apple can't keep up with customer demands when it comes to me updates.

It's a process though guys and everyone has to understand that. Once SC decides on a change the process starts. It can take 2 days, it could take 2 weeks depending on the scope of the changes. These major updates take many months of verification, testing, reverification, more testing, rewriting, more verification, adjustments, another round of verification and testing followed by more changes, bug fixes, reprogramming, testing, another verification, additional programming and changes followed by....

I do. Again, there are those demanding immediate changes. Others, like myself, want better communication and to know (generally speaking) if these are the changes they desired.

Though, to your above point and to be fair to all sides, they would have done that with this last major update. Apparently it didn't work, ie PBT problems, OP witches, game crashing, etc.

I didn't say it was going to take 6 months to fix. My comparison was just an example of how SC fixed a critical lix shortage last year, and the changes happened over a 6 month period with small fixes with each new release.

    Agreed.

However, the lack well-rounded communication (read: engage with the community, not just a random post every 7 days) is disturbing.

    Question?

If they're trying to think of a system that will benefit all players why did they change the game AWAY from the system that benefitted all players?

    Logic tells me......

Ok, I have a big problem with the just have patience posts. Why? Because we are waiting for solutions from the same people who caused these issues to begin with!

If the testing and analysis of this update was as poorly done as I believe it was, why should I trust those same people to come up with good solutions?

Why are devs not talking to users having problems to work on coming out with good solutions??? Did supercell way underestimate the impact of this update on the millions of players? Did they know or ask players about what they saw as benefits of cheap shields? Such as preparing for war.

I'm patiently waiting for a post that details thoughts on what needs to be done to enhance the current play experience for many. But I'm loosing faith day by day that this will ever happen.

At a minimum I hope supercell learned a valuable lesson about potential pitfalls rolling out a big update like to a user base in the many millions.
