Dead bases that everyone enjoys have full collectors and are there. But the amount of capacity in a collector that can be stolen is about 40-50% or maybe higher. This is why whether the bases are really hard to find or they are easy to find they usually don't have loot unless you are lucky. Because I find dead bases all the time. It's just most of them have already been looted.
This is why I think dead bases really should be rare. That way they'd have enough time to replenish it's losses. And if they're rare people will feel lucky about their base find. If the bases were made easy to find then people start to get used to finding them and would treat them as if they were normal loots aside from rare finds. Or similar to the th snipe complaints, people would be more devastated if SC changed the dead bases negatively.
