Yes I actually find myself hiding behind my shield more now post update. Before I would break shield and casually farm through the day when I had time. But now I have to make sure I have enough time make enough to overcome my losses from a big attack. Attacking through shields hasn't helped mitigate this problem as it is only efficant if you can attack on a schedule which doesn't work with my life.

I doubt this was about stopping bot farming as they do not seem to care about people who use ♥♥♥♥♥ programs in war... But if that is part of what they were doing there as are mentioned above much better ways of doing that.

i've seen this argument countless times. All of you who support this argument fail to realize that every single building or troop that needs upgrade, and every drop of lix is a part of this economy. There's no such a thing as "hide from economy" or whatnot.

If a sniper doesn't get the loot from sniping, he raids and gets it from other's storages. If he spends sniped loot on a wall, good for him, good for everyone, why? because he doesn't need to raid you or anyone else for that piece of wall. That wall is a part of the economy.

It's simply naive to think that when a sniper is not raided, he is effectively excluded from the economy. You are a part of it as long as you play this game. Even dead bases are, since they generate resources for collector raids, until of course they are pushed too far back in the queue.

In case you think i'm a sniper that supports TH sniping, just FYI, I had barched in silver and gold pre-update, and never sniped a TH for bonus in higher leagues.

I think an important thing to realize is also that sniping for many was an integral part of the COC-experience and of the looting tactics people had. Many people did not solely snipe, but sniping enabled them to perform other actions in the game (like donating expensive stuff to other clan members or trying out a more expensive, but less loot efficient attack). Knowing that you had gained a lot of loot already in a session, also gave you the guts and bravery to attack a difficult base. If it didn't work out, you still had netted a profit. Now, people are driven by angst and hiding behind precious and hard earned shields, hoarding their elixr.

By removing the element of sniping, all the other elements/actions have suffered as well, en thus the entire gaming experience. It still baffles me that SC has overlooked this, and if they haven't, why they decided to go forward with the removal of TH-sniping at such a high cost.

If anything the update gives more incentive for a casual player to ♥♥♥♥♥ to get forward in the game since they don't let us just remove or delete our towns... many of us would like to do this to remove the temptation to play and/or post on these forums. If I could delete the account/town I'd be gone from here and the game for good. As it stands the temptation is too high so I'm likely to ch eat when I get done with vacation so I can either progress or get my account banned.. both options work for me.

They really do censor that word... funny! hahaha.

Taking away TH sniping has had zero benefit on the game. You can argue it was good, bad, tacky whataver you like, but the game has not been improved in any way whatsoever. Yes I have to defend more, but anyone of you were welcome to take out my base and get my TH at the same time but you didn't.

Guys, the update was not to fight chea t!!! But pure money grabs, how stupid people can be
If sc want to fight chea t they would just add human verification in game like captcha or something else. Understand?

People are missing a major point when using the argument that people didn't hide behind shied in the TH sniping era. Stating that they constantly broke their shields to raid, opening up their bases and loot to attacks.

The major flaw in that argument is that it was more economically savvy to snipe a TH with a hero and collect the loot bonus and move on to another base than it was to go all out and loot raid that same base. Allowing yourself to get multiple raids for the same cook time and cost of one army. Multiplying your profits. A base would normally have to offer a RIDICULOUS amount of loot in order to open it up to a storage raid when the TH was on the outside offering the bonus for nothing.

TH sniping hide bases by offering an easier way to make a profit and making it against the attackers interest to go full out on a base.

The game is harder and needs MANY improvements. But lets not kid ourselves, TH sniping allowed us to play clash on easy mode and with minimal risk to our storages.

Granted the phrase "the economy" has a murky definition in this game. But surely a part of "the economy" is the amount of loot that exists in the game. The only way loot is created is by league bonus and mines/collectors/drills. No matter who's storages the loot is in, it is part of the overall game economy. If you're talking about the "commerce" of the game (the exchange and flow of loot), I suppose it's worth noting that those winning huge league bonuses off of TH snipes had less loot to raid from other people. That is, more people got to hold onto their loot because there was sufficient loot from the league bonus alone.

Well, how many people want to play a game that resembles real life too much?

Actual real life films don't do well. Nobody wants to take in what they already experience day-to-day.

Look at the so-called "reality TV" shows - those are blown WAAAAAYYY out because people want to be entertained, not reminded of their everyday lives.
