People are missing a major point when using the argument that people didn't hide behind shied in the TH sniping era. Stating that they constantly broke their shields to raid, opening up their bases and loot to attacks.
The major flaw in that argument is that it was more economically savvy to snipe a TH with a hero and collect the loot bonus and move on to another base than it was to go all out and loot raid that same base. Allowing yourself to get multiple raids for the same cook time and cost of one army. Multiplying your profits. A base would normally have to offer a RIDICULES amount of loot in order to open it up to a storage raid when the TH was on the outside offering the bonus for nothing.
The game is harder and needs MANY improvements. But lets not kid ourselves, TH sniping allowed us to play clash on easy mode and with minimal risk to our storages.
