the attacker chose how to attack the base, so no one actually hid behind a cheap shield...they left it in the hands of the attacker

Fair enough, I guess we just disagree on that point. Fact is though that while removing sniping changed nothing for some, it changed everything for others. The game to them, is not the same anymore.

One interesting thing about being sniped is that you weren't always snipped before you were completely wrecked.

Sometimes a TH10 would come by and smash you.

But that was dealt with because it wasn't happening all of the time. You still tried to make your layout better despite not having a single chance against higher townhalls. But that has now changed, and it makes the game less fun.

I love this way of thinking. Only due to the sheer foolishness of it.

People 'hiding under their shield' broke their shields CONSTANTLY. Every time they attacked they broke their shield, and it would happen throughout the day as there was a smaller chance of someone stomping their base.

Post update people actually hide behind their shield. They attack twice and they still have a shield. They're less likely to break it because someone WILL stomp their base for 300-400k, or repeatedly 29% their base.

There's more hiding under their shield POST update!

while dead bases had a shield from someone sniping their townhall it gave them time to build up loot in their collectors. Which pumped money into the economy by enabling more efficant raiding.

Fully agree with this benificial effect of TH-sniping. One only needs to drop to silver to see dead bases getting prayed upon every half our or so for mere scraps. These bases used to get some time (12 or 16 hours) to fill up so that they could get properly and orderly raided, by people. Everybody benfittted from that. Now, it is just anarchy down there...

Ppl using Bots would auto th snipe when offline. This change has stopped the bot attacks.

What at suppercell should have done to reduce the chea ts was encrypt the sever/ client communication. So the filthy che ats would be stopped dead. Would help everyone, including the war community who constantly face che at clans.

Dude the bots were updated within *24 hours* of the update and are riding free throughout all of the leagues.

Like I said, if they encrypted the Comms the bots would be stopped.

I use more less the same army before and after the update. But before I could snipe a few town halls before I found somebody that had enough loot, they got wrecked either the town hall out or not. Because of this I get less loot, progress less, dislike the game more
