Have faith, be patient - Supercell Will fix the economy

I have played this game for 2 1/2 years. I have Seen many updates making the game better, and some make it worse. But eventually they have fixed things and restored balance.

I have played few games where developers listens as much to the community as coc and many ideas that originated from you - the community, have been implemented along the years. But you have to remember supercell is a company, trying to maximize profits. They look for ways to earn money all the time, dont kid yourself its pure capitalism.

you know a great Way to ruin any business? Dont keep in touch with your customers. Lose touch with the customers and you lose profit. Simple as that.

supercell has loads of smart people Working there, really clever people that knows how to make money and how to lose money.

they KNOW Right now they screwed up, but wont admit because some Will see that as a weakness and they have to Roll back the Whole shielding thing. They wont do that. But somehow, like they have Always done they Will balance it out again.

some Will say they only Care about the Whales - the Big time spenders. The top 1% gemmers. That is not correct. They know that US casuals is essentially "content" for the whales. Without "content" for the Whales they eventually leave. Supercell is Well aware of this synergy between Whales and casuals.

what we are experincing in the game Right now is a kind of giant beta test run where they see just how much they Can squezze out of those Willing to Pay and of course they set the elixir gain from normal farming low because its Always better to start of giving a little and Then scale up, than it is giving people much and Then scaling Down afterwards.

Its not a coincidence the Update Came out when it did. It Got out now because of two main factors

    1. X-mas = profit

    2. They Can test run the Update and Then later some time in Early january they Can fix it, claiming the holidays keept Them from making changes. But they have Seen the uproar and Will listen bla bla bla (usual PR NONSENSE)

mark my words - balance Will come (after the spenders have spent gems to keep progressing in the same pace as before)

Seems like he already went to Helsinki for an Obamanomics lecture and SC took it all in.... hook, line and sinker.

All these updates have been 'extensively tested' for 6-12 months.

This is what almost a year of their developers and testers could figure out.

We get an update completely full of game breaking bugs, and a broken economy.

We still have a broken economy and their response (like 1 of the 5 we've had) in a closed thread on page 120 of general: there may be a "potential problem"

Not "there IS a problem", not "we screwed up", not "we're going to fix the issues"

    There MAY BE A PROBLEM.

They've had weeks post update data, and 6-12 months of data before that.

Forumers figured out there'd be issues using simple additional and subtraction weeks before the update came out.

With all their data and paying 125 employees and making millions of dollars a day they just figured out there 'may be a potential problem'.

Sorry folks, don't expect this stuff fixed any time soon. If you're lucky 6 months maybe?

SC has already stated that they have the intent to eradicate farming to a pulp. They're not going to fix anything with the economy, in fact they basically changed one gem boost so that farming wouldn't be easier compared to before. Never before has SC held such a strong position, and if they're going to do that, let them. They'll learn soon enough.

game Will be dead in 6 months if they dont change stuff. THEY KNOW THE SCREWED UP. Have some faith that a multi billion dollar corporation has employes that know this fact - or have outsourced this worry to someone Else.

they wont let their gold calf die - Would you?

I stopped believing they had rational thinking when the update dropped.

I think it comes down to Hubris. They believed that they built the #1 game and then could change it how they want and people would adjust.

I think they messed up and worried about a single aspect of the game, the maybe .001% of people who pushed trophies to get in inappropriate leagues. Like others have said, many forum posts were made prior to the update predicting what would happen when they made this change. It's been even worse than that. If you can't attack 8x per day, you're pretty much toast. I'm averaging 12 attacks per day as a new TH9 and having a very difficult time progressing. Mainly because I'm trying to gather elixir and holding maximum elixir so getting crushed.

I think Jonas and others had good intentions but completely missed the boat. They wanted to make it easier to progress and in fact made it very difficult. Beginning of TH9's and TH10's are almost impossible now.

I actually don't have faith. They can't rollback the update because there is too much involved. There is no way under the current rules even if they half storage losses and improve loot bonuses to make the game as it currently stands work for truly casual players. The TH snipe love it or hate it is what made the game accessible to casual players, and that is now gone. Only time will tell how that affects the overall game.

its really simple for Them - make the majority have fun OR lose your privileged life and ridicoulous income.

    10 days and counting

I do agree that they will do something, after all Clash is their flagship and no company wants its pride and joy to go under. However, will they do it fast enough to repair the damage is another question. I like a lot of other people said we would give them until the end of the season to at least take some steps in the right direction, that gives them 10 days and so far they still haven't even talked to us.
