My thoughts on what WOULD be happening:
I feel like there would not be as much chaos are there is going on. Surely you'd see posts about the Pros/Cons of TH 11, but there would definitely be less "I quit CoC because of this update", "CoC is dead", etc. posts. Nobody would be talking about the huge change in the game. There probably would be very few/no posts on the other side of the argument about removing farming. CoC would be the same way its been for as long as I've known it. I feel supercell could have saved themselves a super-headache.
My personal problems (lol):
My townhall just upgraded to 9 on the day of the update and I am essentially in a depression as I can't seem to make my loot back without losing it to a raid or from all the "nexting" I am doing. I have to attack multiple times to gain any sort of profit. The 30 minute shield seems pointless since it takes more than 30 minutes for me to regenerate an army/potions. It sucks to be on winter break as a college student when I can actually devote a little more time to this game, just for it to become a bit boring. The only thing I like about the new update is that the personal break timer thing has been reduced (something I didn't even know was present because I've never reached that point as a casual gamer). I cannot say anything about the new additions to the game because I am not advanced enough to obtain those. I am upset with the update as a 1 year player, but I know i can live without CoC if I wanted to. It was a fun game, but I probably won't end up changing the amount of time I put into this game to keep up with whats going on. I'm going to stick around for a few more weeks to see if I actually need to delete this once-fun game. Boy would I have loved my hypothetical situation to have actually happened.
Any who, What do you think?! How would you feel?!
