Hi Guys,
I would like to ask a question which isn't so much related to ranting as sincere curiousity.
Most of you recently discovered that softbank owns a huge asset of supercell. I've read across the forum that its like 51% and therefore SC doesnt have a saying anymore. Unfortunately this is not true, when this was the case we were still having a blast. At the moment softbank owns 78% making it the only external investor of SC.
Now.. Softbank is (if im not mistaking) a japanese company. In this year we've seen allot of Clash promoting events around asia. I'm assuming that softbank tried to involve their regional market more. Unfortunately from what i've seen from the footage these events werent really packed..
Dont get me started on Clashcon.. It looked like the staf and contenders outnumberd the actual attendents.
You will find more people at a adele cd release.
And in regards to the update if you need 6 months to deliver such a mediocre update you should speak to bethesda or something.. I'm just saying, it was really low budget.
I thing softbank is trying to recooperate all their lost money and this is the fastest way. Keep in mind that even if you make profit as a company it does not mean you've already reached break even with your investor.
That great vision supercell had.. How does that work when you just have a 22% saying in the matter..
Sorry to say this but they really aren't stupid. Investors always want to recover their money first its the primary ovjective. This has been a well considered recipe with all the consequences already taken into account. I'm sure that this equally hurts supercell staff to, but its like making lemons with lemonade. Once the product is out its out..
What are your thoughts ?
