Hey guys its zachb2328 from the clan Aussie Nippers! and im looking for a new army setup. I am currently at Town Hall 8 and I can hold 190 troops in my camp. My last raid earned me 1 million resources and 300 dark elixer but my army setup was 9 dragons and 10 archers which I'm only looking to do once in a long while. All help is appreciated and defiantly check out my clan!
You should really try to get 200 space. But i like half barbs and half archers with maybe some wallbreakers
Im pretty sure you know but spead barbs around the base with multi touch feature then archers behind them
I found that the following army combination works extremely well for farming resources:
-55 archers
-55 barbarians
-20 goblins
-8 giants
-10 wall breakers
As you upgrade your last two army camps, add another 5 to archers and barbarians!
Idk about you guys, but I use 6 giants, 8 Wbs, and the rest 50/50 archers and goblins. I find this army to work very well with level 4 or above troops. Also as for barbs/archers/and wbs that army works for collectors exposed and not in hard to reach places. That army composition also works very well for getting trophies fast.
Depends on your goals, e.g. resource or trophy. In general, you need two completely different armies for either one.
However, one army comp that seems to be able to do both is tier 1 level 5-6. Vs 8 and higher, you attack outside the base and get 1 star wins, at lower levels, they will bulldoze up to 7.
I've experimented with it on the trophy hunting side (300->1300 in one afternoon) and it seemed it could work. What I used was:
1/3 barbs, 2/3 archers.
However, you do reach a point of diminishing returns. 200 troops at 22.5 seconds each = 75 minutes, 4 barracks = 18.75 minutes, equals 3 attacks/hour.

There is no best army composition, as it depends on the opponents base and what you are looking for. Myself for farming use only barbs and archers, and has worked extremely well at town hall 8. I used to have it close to 1:1 ratio, but lately I've been using more archers.

My farming setup that i use every singles time (townhall 8 200 spaces) is:
8 giants
8 wallbreakers
72 archers
52 barbarians
20 goblins
in every barrack thats 2 2 18 13 5
if u dont have 200 spaces reduce the number of goblins and if u hav even less space reduce the number of archers.
2 barracks: barbarians
2 barracks: archers
2 barracks: minions
