People can testify they are not getting enough elixir or testify elixir is fine and they are getting all they need. It's just talk on the forums because SC actually has a way to track how much DE/Elixir/Gold is floating around.

I suspect they realize there is a problem with Elixir in the game for the majority of players. And if there is, I expect they'll address it. If I (and many others) are wrong and they see no problem then nothing changes.

But I see a lot more people than not complaining about it plus I have farmed 2 hours a day on average for 2 years and I CLEARLY see the difference. I still get what I need but only because I have been off work the last week and have spent more time playing than usual. And.. I was already a maxed 10 so I got pretty much most of what I needed already.. time to just finish off storages and work on the Warden over time.

    Living with you

I have the same elixer problem as you described. I'm up in Champs 2 aswell but I have to keep a constant eye open for bases with elixer stored (300k is holy atm) while i try to gain Dark Elixer or Gold.

    New TH9 struggles

I went to TH9 about 4 days ago. Everything in my base was 100% max TH8, as I figure this is the best way to approach the game. Literally once the TH changed to a 9, my raiding targets became outrageous. Max TH9, many TH10.

I boosted everything for an hour of raiding. At the end, I had lost 5 of 7 attacks. In total, I had gained 100k in elixir. I can assure you I am not a crappy attacker. I used Giant/healer/wizard armies along with my maxed TH8 BK and a brand new level 1 AQ.

The bigger question, I feel, is why there is such a propensity to be matched against opponents so superior to my account? Should the mere fact my TH changed make it so I must face impossible opposition? Why am I not being matched against the population of new TH9? don't tell me there aren't any out there in my league, that's baloney. They were there in the same league when I was a maxed TH8. But now as a brand new TH9 the system has skipped over all the newish TH9 and is giving me much higher ones.

I don't understand the reasoning behind whatever mechanism does this. Why would it be so bad to be matched against truly equal opposition? Isn't that part of the fair play, competitive aspect of the game? By the way, I've moved up and down leagues a fair bit in the last few days and the problem doesn't seem to be relieved.

What they should do effective immediately is have any troops not killed return with you to your village. As in you drop a full war attack and at the end half are alive. Then when you go back you only have to recook what got killed. this saves on time, elixer and makes more sense logically.

    Thoughts?
My thought on this is that since the current state of the game requires the use of full war armies to raid a majority of the storages and get full loot bonus, there will be very few troops left to return.

The exception to this would be healers. Super queen would be the only farming strategy you would need.

this right here is why id say less cost in troops or troop refunds for troops not dead is a better idea.

Until you get your troops up, you're going to have to beat up on TH8's. They are there, roughly 1 in 5 bases you'll be shown will be a TH8. And one in 10 of those will offer fair loot. So expect to press next between 30-70 times on average and beat up on lower bases until you upgrade your barching troops.

    change upgrade route

basically you'll have a glut of gold and stagnant on elixir. However, since your elixir is low, there won't be much that can be raided. so use the glut of gold to upgrade your defenses. Hopefully this will make it harder for your elixir to be stolen because your defenses will be strong.

    Shift To DE Heavy Army

I have made the same changes you described with the same results: good gold and dark elixir gains, but EXTREMELY slow elixir growth (if any growth at all).

I agree with your suggested changes to make it possible to collect elixir, but since we can't force SC to do anything my only thought is to try building a dark equity heavy army (e.g. hogs / golems / heroes with as few wizards as needed). This will slow your DE progress, but could lead to elixir gains. Not a good trade off but the only one I can think of until SC reacts.

I feel your pain, right now I'm luck enough to have done most of my th9 troop upgrades so I'm ok with no elixir growth, but I DEFINITELY won't upgrade to TH10 until the elixir economy is fixed. Having to fund million elixir upgrades right now would be a nightmare!!

I'm making gains in both gold and dark elixir but find it really tough to make any significant gains on elixir. Obviously it might not make sense to implement all but even one would help. Thoughts?
