    Personal Break System Improved

After seeing so many complaints about the new PBT, I've come up with something better than the current system.
My system does not remove the PBT. Instead, it will allow people to stay online for longer but still put them in the multiplayer matchmaking system for a short period of time (5-15 minutes).

First Session - 3 hours of cumulative online time.
Second Session - 2 hours of consecutive online time.
Third Session - 1 hour of consecutive online time.

If you get kicked of the servers and get attacked:
    • If you get a shield - PBT resets to 3 hours
    • If you don't get a shield - PBT resets to 2 hours of consecutive online time, then resets to 1 hour of consecutive online time if you get kicked off a second time.

    • If you get kicked after the first session, you will be kicked for 5 minutes.
    • If you get kicked after the second session, you will be kicked for 10 minutes.
    • If you get kicked after the third session, you will be kicked for 15 minutes.

The shield system still applies where shields won't count towards PBT and the cumulative online time still remains for the first session. If you are offline for 30 minutes or more whether you have been kicked or logged off without being kicked then your PBT will reset.
When someone logs off just before the timer hits 0, the PBT will only reset if they wait 15 minutes before logging back online to their village.

A visible timer next to the shield bar would also be very helpful for players.

That way, everyone will be able to be online for the normal 6 hours with breaks in between and not ch3at their way through the system.

i think it should go back to the old system

i hate the new PBT. farming is completely terrible lately. i just became a th10 and have been biting my ♥♥♥ and spent about 300-400 on gems to get there, i finally make it and now i get booted while boosting all the time and I'm out many gems due to this. i kinda wish i wouldn't have bought 14000 gems while my th was going to 10. i farmed for 4 hours today and only got 1m elixir. I've been playing for a year and I've never had such a bad run at farming. I'm very disappointed. I've messaged supercell multiple times about my boosts not pausing while they force ably kick me and they have yet to address the issue, they keep explaining how they PBT works. i want my boosts paused if they are gonna kick me and I'm spending money on them. they said i can add 2 hours to my pbt my spending 10 gems to extend it. its a money scam. i DO NOT ever plan on spending another dime on the game until this is fixed.

Anyone else having ♥♥♥♥ luck farming? or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that you're getting kicked during boosts??? i sure am

    Absolutely no accumulative time period.

Accumulative time is ignorant and should be removed period. It is ruining the game and is nothing more then supercell trying to get people to buy shields. It has nothing to do with finding bases to raid because I had NO PROBLEM finding bases with the old system.

I hate to say it, but people are too ticked off right now to really discuss numbers over a system they hate. Even then, I really doubt you will get very many objective numbers, since they would have to think rather selflessly to consider most of the important angles. Plus, we don't have the game usage stats to really come up with practical numbers to do what the main purpose of it is for, and that's to prevent keep-alive haxs and obsessive people from staying on too long.

Best we can do is find a set of workable numbers people will hate the least, because I really doubt we'll get very many good comments from timeouts of 3-4 hours.. with who knows what afterwards.

What I am wondering is what kind of numbers SC is getting on how many people are affected by the change. I wouldn't be too surprised to see it is actually a small number of people being hit by this, but they are the ones that are very activite and tend to be very vocal.

The game was built on us obsessive people that spend money to better our villages that turned supercell into the company it is today. they are going to lose a lot of loyal chiefs do to this. I'm already promising I'm not spending another cent of this gam unless farming gets better again and PBT is set back to the old system.

Then I guess the patient players that stay will be farming your inactive base. SC has already bet their job security on this update, and the next updates to come. SC staff isn't stupid; and there are countless other players saying the exact things you are and have been proven wrong.

Are you willing to bet against SC, the guys that know way more about the odds of them winning than you do?

People just need to listen to themselves, they are acting like the game developers that made the game they enjoy playing is the enemy. Does that make sense? Playing a game ran by people that are 'evil'? Developers purposefully ticking you off, just because? No! Both you and the SC staff should really be on the same side, not treating them like some know-nothing morons.

No. I do not believe them to be evil, but they have made a mistake with PBT. I am the primary donator (by a mile) and leader of a clan. We war back to back and I therefore check in often to see who needs troops. Is it fair that I can't farm at night, the only time I am able because I don't farm until my kids go to sleep? And to argue in any way that losing a boost that you PAID FOR because of PBT is anything but theft is ludicrous. I am 35 years old and I don't need to be told when I can and can't play. Again, I do not believe them to be doing this purposely to upset players but they made a mistake nonetheless. In addition, I may be more willing to bet against "a company like SC" more than I have any other gaming creator in my 30 years of game play as I have never been forced to stop playing any game ever. I love this game, so much that I haven't picked up my PS4 controller in 8 months, but they have made an error that affects those that love it most. Both clans I am in (I have two accounts) feel exactly the same way. How can I be rewarded with gems for a donation amount and then be punished for checking in to donate? They just need to approach this issue differently to address, what they believe, to be the problem. I will keep playing but I won't spend money until this is resolved. FYI, I am losing a boost as we speak which, no matter how you slice it, is not ok.

    Sincerely,
A guy who has nothing better to do at the moment because he can't play the only game he cares about...or cared about.

No but game developers and companies make bad decisions (Pepsi clear?). This is a straight up bad decision. I bet you any amount of money that there will be class action lawsuits bc people are spending money on gems to boost barracks and then get kicked off which eats up their boost. Don't believe me about a class action lawsuit...wait and see my friend. Taking money from people and promising them something in return and then not delivering on it is straight up fraud, even if it is with a game.

SC has made many mistakes, some of them game ending if they didn't react not only quickly, but correctly. I find it amazing they kept this game going as well as it has been, given the systemic issues it had. And I'm surprised they even went after them, since most people wouldn't dare touch those issues and just watch their game slowly die because of it.

Anyway, I think there is a very good chance of you toughing it out. The amount of time needed for discouragement to eat away at your great reluctance to abandoned your Clan Leader position of your active Clan, and two accounts is well past the time frame of SC getting it correct, and making things right with people.

Why do I say that? I'm about as old as you are, have played videogames for most of my life (if one ignores periods of depression blocking that times) and I only have one account. If I find it hard to just leave the one account I have, and you have 2 account and an active Clan... yeah, you're kind of hooked You haven't even touched your PS4 in months, so I know you a good amount of attachment. I've played a crappy Clash-clone recently, and I'd rather be addicted here than on that other P.o.S. 'game'. I have a good idea on how SC thinks, and so far have been liking what I see.

Even Pepsi didn't die from that 'clear' mistake. And there was also the great rebound that Coke made with it's 'new' Coke idea. So much of a rebound, people think the whole thing was planned all along.

If you search this forum for my old posts in regards to the game's 'systemic gameplay' problems, you'll see me occasionally predicting this very problem that is going on right now. However I didn't believe SC would have the confidence on attacking those issues this soon, but I knew back then, after only playing for a few months, that if these metagaming issues (TH sniping and the cascade of problem caused by it) were attacked, the transition would be very painful for a good number of players. SC had a choice, attack the problem head on... somehow... without killing their prized money making game and give it a new lease on life if they win, or watch it slowly die as it limps along as a discouraging shadow of it's intended form. I'm not being melodramatic here, CoC had some pretty bad flaws. There was a reason why I labeled it as 3 out of 5 stars on Google Play and slowed down to just yard work on my Village. It sucked after a point! You play as intended, and you got your butt kicked, as if you did something wrong!

Now at the great risk of sounding arrogant, I don't believe there will be any class action lawsuit. That's likely a judgement based on assumptions and high emotions. Yes, I know you are quite ticked off. I've been ticked off too... and sounded like a daft idiot at times from being ticked off. But if you calm down, and try to look at many of the angles, this update is a first shot at getting the game on track to what it really should be. But lol, as expected with a problem this epicly tricky, it cannot be taken down in one pass.

I'd like to tell you it will get better here very soon, but that likely isn't true. If SC is really assaulting these major issues, it will be one hell of a fight. Expect some growing pains as bad habits from before the update get worked out of the system, and don't be surprised that even with this attempt at perfection, things still aren't going to be perfect. But, once most of the the turbulence has passed, and if SC hasn't done some unrepairable damage, expect one hell of a well crafted game.

Leaving CoC now, and berating SC as you leave in a ticked off huff, is likely the worst thing players could do right now. SC is betting their jobs on this fix, and needs about as much help as they can get. ... but, I'm not sure how I can explain that to people. I can only do so much, and people be very set in their ways.

We'll see how it goes... I'll stay hiding in the basement of my level 9 Town Hall and hope I have a game to come back to once the smoke has cleared.
