    agree

The clan i'm in isn't so much a ghost town as yet but not the place it was also have friends in other clans saying the same
The players are still here for the wars but the chat is not there anymore without saying people just aren't happy and enjoying there game play as much

People are still hoping SC make changes and do something but really can't see it happening the average player will be gone by the time this happens
You can tell this as SC can't even be ♥♥♥♥♥ in making any statement about peoples complaints about the update

    how is sniping fun?

i would like for someone to explain to me how sniping town halls is a fun way to play the game. this is to suggest that a game built around dynamic attack strategy is less fun when you actually have to play with that intent? i understand the economics piece of the argument, and this is something that needs to be addressed by sc. the bonuses absolutely need to be a lot more lucrative, specifically in elixir and especially in dark elixir. because now you cannot bring cheap armies into battle. the alternative is to reduce training costs for the bigger troops required to bring into battle.

maybe also reduce training times by a slight amount. that said, i have to wait for my aq and bk to heal for an hour, so i try and train an army in that same amount of time. the new shield system allows me to attack three times without fear of dropping offline afterwards. sure, i get wiped out every time i am out of shield, but it has played to my advantage to this point in terms of loot. where i am having trouble is de. it requires de to compete at the levels high enough to bring in revenue, making it difficult to build it up.

supercell absolutely needs to make some adjustments, but the fact that so many people want to quit because they actually need to attack now is absurd to me.

who Said it was fun. its necessary at times, you know to do those 2 billion gold and elixr upgrade on walls that will still get destroyed by 4 quake spells. Anyways i usually farm in gold/ silver and now im th sniping more than ever. kind of ironic.

I have had platitudes about representing my views at developers meetings when I posted to them on ingame help and support... but I don't honestly see them being bothered until there is an exodus... of course, by that time the damage will have been done

I've never set out to snip a base, but have taken the opportunity when it arose. However, others made it their raison d'etre.. and I thought it was fun to see very low levels in high leagues.
Similarly, there are those who despise wars and are only in it to farm... again, I'm not a farmer but have done my fair share of farming.
The new update makes all of this very very hard to accomplish and diminishes the experience for those who are not snipers and or farmers.
Diversity was part of the fun and now all is monochrome

However, you bring up a valid point about long cook armies and the reason people keep clashing
I speak for myself when I say I clash to chat, to farm some loot in order to upgrade and prepare for war.
Now sadly the chat is diminished, the farming is very hard so upgrades are non-existent and war prep is a worry....
I don't think there is much help in this update for the community

Another reason people are not as active is because many people playing are in the middle of finals and are studying and don't have as much time to clash.

I'm sure once winter break hits, it'll be more active.

    Exactly what I am saying.

People enjoyed the grind of endless nexting and sniping and barching for gains.

Sure it takes longer to do it the rightful way, but its more fun to unleash hell on the enemy and watch them burn!

This has rendered what was an amusing multi-dimensional game into a rather lack-lustre one dimensional game..... A frustrating one at that since people are spending so much on building armies and searching for something to attack, there is now no loot around either!
Our clan is a rather depressed place to be right now, little chat, little optimism, little activity. What could have been such an awesome update that would have regenerated interest from the maxed players has turned into a shambles.
I have been raided 6 times in a row and not got a shield, the attackers did not get a win bonus all that's happened is I dropped down to gold 2 in order to attempt to find reasonable loot and all I find are others in the same boat as me. When I log on in the morning, I'm generally back up to gold 1... SOOOOO SAD
Supercell, you missed the mark with this one, you haven't shot yourself in the foot... no, this was a headshot!!!
Yeah, my clan has gone pretty quiet as well. Between the personal break rules, not wanting to break a shield, and some difficulty raiding, it's been pretty slow. Not good coming off an update. Usually you see people raiding like crazy to get the newest stuff. But I'm not in a clan with max players, and there is no new stuff to buy this time.
    TH 9 / BK 20 / AQ 20 / Grinding out L10 walls

    46 & 2 just ahead of me
