End of clans?

Since the last update there has been a considerable drop in activity on clan chat. This is due to the need to build max troops and multiple spells in order to attack. Sniping and farming have effectively been wiped out (why? what on earth do you have against snipers or farmers???) This has rendered what was an amusing multi-dimensional game into a rather lack-lustre one dimensional game..... A frustrating one at that since people are spending so much on building armies and searching for something to attack, there is now no loot around either!
Our clan is a rather depressed place to be right now, little chat, little optimism, little activity. What could have been such an awesome update that would have regenerated interest from the maxed players has turned into a shambles.
I have been raided 6 times in a row and not got a shield, the attackers did not get a win bonus all that's happened is I dropped down to gold 2 in order to attempt to find reasonable loot and all I find are others in the same boat as me. When I log on in the morning, I'm generally back up to gold 1... SOOOOO SAD
Supercell, you missed the mark with this one, you haven't shot yourself in the foot... no, this was a headshot!!!

I would love to disagree with you and say my clan is as booming as ever however i sadly cannot do that. My clan has slowly lost our addicted players and more just dont want to play as they hate the update.

We are all adults with jobs, majority of us have kids and this update has made it so hard to actually farm and have fun.

same in my clan think its happening to alot of clans they just dont find the game fun anymore

if they dont make any changes sadly yes
waiting for hours to train army and spell is quite annoying, more when you fail your raid
only 3 members in my clan seems to be active(time to look for another clan) others already stopped playing

My clan has been together since the start and it has made many old timers very active again. We are a farming clan and love the update. I am attacking more than ever and enjoying the shields while I do it and being able to relax while training armies. I was dreading the update, so was fully prepared to be negative about it.

We too have lives, it was nice to take an hour or two to clash a bit and chat with online friends. This update appears to have been a knee-jerk reaction to farm bots.. although I personally don't have any problem with them.. it's modders in wars that erk me and this update does nothing to stop their behavior...
Supercell I think tried to kill 2 birds with one stone, prevent farming bots (and they have killed off both snipers who I thought were brilliant... seeing th4 in chumps made my day... and farmers... who would often be storing up loot in order to war and donate... 2 essential functions to a group based game) and secondly to get people to gem more... the bottom line is always the well.. bottom line.

Such a shame, the clan community was a fun place to lose myself for an hour or two a day, now like you say, it's a ghost town, no point in staying logged in if no-one is there, and no-one is there because it takes sooooo long to sort out an attack.
Attacks are also becoming worthless as there is less loot available due to running costs and less win bonus. Don't even get me started on the amount of loot I lose in 'failed' attacks on me that lose me loot but don't generate a shield..

This is wrong.. so so wrong
