This update has ruined the game for me. I can't find any bases to raid, and the personal time out is ridiculous! I'm an adult, why should I be told to stop playing?! And if my base is too good and I don't get a shield I get punished? New upgrades and th11 is great, but the shield thing and time out needs to be fixed!

better give 1 compulsory break of 30 minutes a day... and make sure someone finds ur base in those 30 mins and make sure he attacks u and make sure he get 30% so u get a shield !

CoC is currently set to 3 out of 5 stars, with my last critical review deleted, and with a place holder of 'will comment after reviewing the update'. Now for the likes of the Clash-clone named ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥, that thing deserves a 1 out of 5 star rating! That one is just another way of over milking a game title for money.
Some people need to put things in prospective. This update for CoC is not the absolute worst thing in the world. The update for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ however was pretty bad. It did add content that was a blatant grab for money. Practically a textbook case of it... if such a videogame textbook ever existed.

I think 3 hours is a bit too short for the PBT. I think I'd like it to be extended to 4 hours.
And being kicked off sucks.
I think if you get attacked twice, even without getting a shield, that should reset the timer.
(I also think it should be one attack in higher leagues)

You're right. BUT, actually last night I had a serious internet issue. I wrote the text in paragraphs. Unfortunately the forum uses a client-side JavaScript-based editor (AKA WYSIWYG editor) and it uses HTML tags and doesn't support simple text. Due to my connection issues, the browser haven't downloaded the .js files, hence this mess you're talking about. I tried to edit the post but the connection was so bad I couldn't and gave up.
Anyways, I'll reformat it now that I have a good connection again. Sorry about that.
Yeah, much easier to read. But connection issues usually aren't a major issue with a good browser, and especially with a word processor. I've written up long posts with intermittent cellphone connections, and had to time hitting the preview or submit button while there was a connection, and often things worked fine. All of my post I have made have been done on a Note 3, so I've got experience with connectivity issues while making lengthy posts.
I really do wish you didn't put a copy of that fixed up rant on my featured thread about the Personal Break system. Yes, my thread talks about the Personal Break, but having in the title "Worst idea ever!" makes it sound like my ideas to fix the rough edges of the system are terrible. Thankfully shortly after reading your post, it is clear you didn't read much of any of the thread's content.
Next time read what thread you are in before spamming your unsolicited, off topic, opinions. My thread (as posted in the signature) is about the Personal Break, but on how to improve the understanding and management of it, not to be a sounding board for emotional rants about how badly it currently is. We have little control over what PB timer values SC uses, nor can most of us make an objective suggestion on what those times should be that is better than SC's statistics team with log data of our activities. So instead I'm going after the issue in a different way that I think would do more good.
If you want people to hear your complaints about how bad it is, go to the General forum. If you want to help me, look over the posted ideas, and give feedback on if some or all of those ideas would help your current situation, and support it if it seems like it is worth supporting. I know you are ticked off, but you have to keep that in check and vent where venting is appropriate.
Added Edit: Also, you missed the point about what Galadon (and maybe Cheif Pat) will be doing with his defenses base. I know Galadon almost has more gems than me knows what to do with (gemmed from max TH10 to max TH11, live, in one sitting), but he has more incentive to struggle through the update and report on how one can bring their defenseless base up to par with everyone else. He has no need to gem it up. He's got a top rankings village anyway, so he doesn't need to gem another one and have more.

It goes against every cell in my body to reply to you because frankly I have made a promise to myself to not answer to people like you. But on the other hand I know that I won't be able to sleep tonight if I don't so here goes:

2. The title of this thread is "PBT timer is ridiculous" and I wanted to express my own opinion about this matter. If complaining about this issue in a thread with this title doesn't seem "related" to you, maybe you need to get your facts straight.
3. You are not the OP of this thread. No one made you the king here. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.
4. My connection last night had a packet drop of about 90%. You may think that a phone's reception, the browser (wow), or the bandwidth is related to the quality of the network you're using but that's because your knowledge (if any) of the networking is limited. On the other hand, you didn't understand a word I said about the process of handling the editor by the browser. I suggest you to look more into it and save yourself the public embarrassment you're facing now. I don't have any reason whatsoever to lie to you about the connection issues or the formatting of my post. I could simply ignore your reply and reformat (or not) my post whenever I felt like it. Instead, I thought I'm interactive with another human being on a social level and explained why the post is presented like that.
5. The fact that you're replying to my post on your thread on someone else's thread feels like you're the spammer in this scenario. If you don't like my post, say so in your own thread where I have posted the reply. I was merely trying to help you (and myself) by spreading the word and my concern.
6. People like you who find it extremely easy to insult and humiliate others are the problem with the society. Using words like "whining", "rant", "spamming" and a general attitude in your posts are reason enough for me to think that you have a social problem and certainly doesn't feel normal/healthy. I'm suggesting seeking help from a therapist.
7. About galadon and chief pat you're absolutely wrong. First I don't think that gemming your base is a bad thing. They are YouTubers. They make money by showing those videos. Much more than they spend and they have sponsors. I would do the same. What I said was that not many people are able to access that many gems and with the current state of the game it's extremely hard for people to farm their bases to max.
On a separate note, galadon does need to gem his base to stay on top. The fact that you think if someone is on top doesn't need to gem their bases, proves that you don't know that much about the trophy pushing. Sure people have reached to higher leagues using TH snipes but now the game has changed a lot and even then the low level bases couldn't make it to top 10. The fact that both galadon and chief pat climbed that many trophies in 1 day with mass witch attacks and their new hero and even galadon made to top 20 proves my point. How could a TH10 compete with a TH11? It's not a fair fight of course.

It would only get worse if I tired to correct any of that above stated mess, since the promise of ignoring someone after something like this has happened often doesn't hold. Most people usually would try to rebut anyway, I know I have in the past, but it never worked. I'll just say it is very incorrect, very insulting, and full of bad assumptions, but not go into detail since that would easily escalate things even further.
We'll just let time and the usual accumulation of threads bury this and go our own ways.
