That analogy doesn't really work. Food can be prepared different ways and easily catered to people on a per customer basis. A video game that we all experience simultaneously can't be catered to every single person the same way food can.I read a nice reply yesterday. You would ask him maybe once to do what you want then what? Leave. We love the game & we have demanded giving as our back what we liked many time. You clearly missed the point. He is referring to most any customer service situation. and when this game requires you to return unlike a video game that is just bought and who cares what you do with it. this game requires you to keep spending money, I would say it will be in supercell best interest to not just have people leave.
I wouldn't have had a problem with these changes if Supercell had made them early on. But it's been 3 years!!! There needs to be some kind of "statute of limitations" for making fundamental changes to the foundation of the game's core gameplay. It's too late now to be making the game the way they want to play it, they should have realized their mistakes in the first year and corrected them.
There was a post someone wrote about fish and sharks in the forum that described the equilibrium in clash of clans community. Read that post and you will understand what will happen to clash of clans.
And to the one that said i can go play boom beach which is less demanding. I am not playing any other game of this company period. I managed to turn th10 by how the game was before the update. Now I am having a hard time. I am stuck at 2.5M elixir for 2 days. How is that for progress.

You make no sense. If you don't play whole day why would you ever use. Barch anyways. You can train a stronger army and make more profit.
Secondly defending is a natural part of the game. I am happy it is back.

I seem to be missing your point as well. But what I was saying is you can't make blanket statements and analogies that are going to apply to every single industry and every single instance.
To say "in a restaurant I get food my way, so I should be able to clash the way I want" is a logical fallacy. It's not a representative analogy and it's anecdotal.
This game doesn't require you to spend money if you don't want to. Personally I have spent $0 on this game. I get that people are mad because now they actually have to play the game and it's hard to progress passively but unfortunately that's now the state of the game.
Be angry all you want but for now the best thing you can do is adapt.
I am too. SC needs to tweak the update a little, but I really like the concept of the update. I took advantage of sniping/free shield, but it was a pretty dumb part of the game. I'd like to see SC balance it a little better so loot flows more easily than it is, but I think that'll happen before long.
More than anything, I think it's pretty silly that so many people are threatening to quit playing an attack-based game because they now have to actually attack. I couldn't care less whether people quit or not, but for some reason everybody is announcing it (while they continue to post on the forum for the game they "quit").
it was always there, all you had to do was put your th in. You CHOSE to do so or not.
