Best Design for Protecting loot and getting an easy shield :)
I created this design,so far its been doing great!!No PBT disconnections,Just 1-2 attacks and guaranteed shield!
I'm currently trying to protect Gold only and therefore I'm using elixir storages as bait.
As you can see,I have put low hp buildings near the elixir storages so that the attackers are forced to give me shield :P
Defence log :
Although I have lost decent amount of elixir(idc),its ok since I make up for those from collectors/pumps/drills.I may not be in a clan but the cc is always full
All attacks came from the bottom side.
But still my resources keep increasing day by day
I'm a casual player btw.

Lol that may work in Silver 1 - Gold 1 but in Masters that would be a nice base to find aha. Elixir storages together and Far left gold storages I could get with archers (:
Thing is, us rushers have it pretty rough. You are getting hit by strong armies (maxed troops), so whatever you can do to protect you loot will be, I don't want to say futile, but pretty damn useless. What you will want to do is to keep your resource count as low as possible: i.e Upgrade traps, walls and the cheapest thing there is apart from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed air sweeper cos lolairsweeper. Seeing as you don't want elixir, why not put it all on walls?
The base as a whole is ok-ish, a couple of wallbreakers and a few giants paired up with archers and goblins (so basically a standard farming army comp) will be able to get to most, if not all, of the storages. I would suggest isolating them. I'm not saying my farming base is the best, but it does that pretty well (the layout is attached the one of December 2015.
I would put extra work on maxing those infernos (I set out to do that as soon as they announced the end of TH sniping), and I would not recommend you to move up to TH11 just yet, for you will be getting extremely miss matched multiplayer matches from then on. Also, there is the loot penalty for attacking lower TH levels, and the fact that you will scarcely get TH9's, and never get those nice and juicy abandoned TH8's.
I repeat: I would really really think twice before letting the upgrade to TH11 finish up: Spend the gold on your infernos and work on maxing out TH10 before moving up to 11. Unrushing a base is getting much harder now that loot is much rarer. Trust me, I know about rushing:
It was not easy, but I managed. However, with the removal of free shields, and the addition of further loot penalties, added to the general lack of loot there is on the game as it is, upgrading your TH now might prove fatal for your CoC progress. Please take all that into consideration!
Hope you don't take this as a lecture but as what it is: Honest piece of advice from someone who has been there, done that. The only thing more painful than grinding out walls is watching some random maxed TH11 you will get matched with steal all of your gold/elixir/DE.
May I ask what level heroes you have?
Good luck clashing!!
The only good thing that came out of this update for us rushers, is the possibility to work up to max our TH and progress nicely now that we know what a mistake it was to rush, almost the ability to start fresh.
