TH9+ PLAYERS PREY ON TH8. [Petition]

Supercell needs to find a way to help the th8 and under players stay alive. After this update I have been 3 starred around 15 consecutive times by a TH9 or higher. All using the same basic Army. GIANT BARCHER. And we can't do anything to stop it. I am a maxed th8 who is desperately trying everything I can to stop this slaughter fest. BUT I CAN'T DO NOTHING. I MYSELF HAVE NO CLUE ON HOW TO STOP IT. Maybe more spring traps or a new defense to help bust down on Giant BARCHER users or just severely cutting the amount of loot that they gain from us lower players. I've lost Millions of resources in a matter of days. And I'm am sure I'm not the only one. WE ARE DEFENSELESS. Im a lvl 9 and Im having the same problem. I've lost millions and my trophies or getting wrecked

I remember being a Town Hall 8... Oh the hate I had of the game while at Eight...

Was bad enough with the giants over powering practically any base design I put up, but what really ticked me off was the Archer Queen. More often than not, she would walk in, safely behind her giant army, shooting over their heads and sniping loot as she went. Even IF her escort was killed half way in, often times she would still, seemingly without effort, get the Dark Elixir I worked hard at collecting.

Then I got her myself as a TH9 and tortured her into doing Super Queen attacks. Keeping her healed constantly while under fire by the brunt of the base defenses. ... Though... I likely ticked off many a TH8 in the process, and TH9s, and some lame TH10, but hey, I had fun for once in a long time and got some much needed WB practice and experience with troop aiming and funneling. (that is thankfully gone, in terms of overall gameplay, due to the multi healer nerf)

Still doesn't mean the system is fine. If I were a game designer, I'd look for a way to fix the hate at Town Hall 8. You are supposed to have fun playing the game, not come close to breaking your expensive smartphone over being robbed of some digital game currency from some over powered chick with a gun.

Yea, I am a max defense th9 and working heros and lvl 10 walls to get to th10.
You can say the update caused this all you want but the reality is th9s always pick on th8s. th10s always pick on 9s, 8s on 7s, 7s on 6s and now th11s on th10s.
It is just the way the game is, if you dont like hat gap from th8 to 9 and you are max then go th9 and be on of those that picks on th8s as you farm all of your new upgrades, that's what I did.

I agree he was always defenceless, that's why he placed his TH outside so that it could be sniped. Now everyone's bases look the same more or less and frankly when I see a TH 8 I crush them just to get some loot. The thinking behind the update has changed the games dynamics to such an extent that it doesn't even feel like Clash of Clans anymore. I don't need to go on because I have not had a shield since the upgrade started. I fear with the sheer amount of hard core clanners like me being so disappointed that we might see the end of this once great game.

As TH8 you complain you got wrecked by TH9 but how many TH7 you wrecked into ground for either loot or trophy? You were a part of the food chain. Deal with it.

Now no more food chain though, game give you less and less of lower TH, with less loot % than before, usually the base has no loot worth taking anyway.

For trophy it's still gonna be free for all though. If a TH11 see your TH8 worth 30 trophy somewhere in Master League and he wants it, he is justified to wreck your base to the ground flat and say "Know your place, peasant." lol

You have a point; bigger will often pick on the littler, but the bottom line is to have fun. And even before the update, if you were stubborn or foolish enough to not have a farming base, you got your rear beat, and often. Up until I said "to hell with the game, I'm taking a break, and hope a good update comes", I never ever used a farming base. I was in the other 20% that usually tried to play as intended.

And you know what I found out?
I found out that TH7 was the most fun Town Hall level ever. I had a base layout that allowed me to win, loot wasn't a pain in the butt to get, and I was actually able to revenge attack people that was one Town Hall level higher than me (up to mid development TH8s) by using dragons. It wasn't perfect, but was better than the previous levels that came before.

Then... Town Hall 8 came, and the game quickly became less fun... Not only was I still being part of the bigger beating up the smaller, like I was as a TH7, but there were several other factors that spoiled things. Most revenge attacks on TH9s were reduced to DE Zaps (of course no longer possible), no real base design offered much of a win with the Archer Queen working for Town Hall 8s, and loot was noticeable harder to get, but Barcher was still viable (which was a big gameplay mistake that can bite people in the rear later on).

So, it depends on how things are done. Town Hall level 7 and Town Hall level 8 are two opposing examples of how handling the 'always a bigger fish' issue can affect enjoyment. I'd go on about how things kind of improved at TH9, but I really should stop the story there.

I understand that there is a food chain but I would like it to be discouraged that this is happening...too many cowards out there...who rather beat on a newer player than to face a challenge. It used to balance out before the Th11 update with free shields and all...you got sniper and hoped to god it wasn't a powerhouse attacking you... sometimes it happened but no every time.
