    Instead of taking time off shield when attacking

    Just destroy the shield after 3 attacks are made through it. I only have shields at night, and sometimes 9 hours isn't enough, so I don't want to shorten the 12 hours. I think it's better to allow attacking through shield, but destroy it after the third attack.

    Nah the new shield set up is garbage, you can't farm anymore to save up for big purchases without getting raped by a higher lvl player

    I get the frustration, though really the only difference is now you're pretty much guaranteed to get hit for some of your loot if you drop your shield whereas before you were rolling the dice.


    They did build in several options to help you out though...first, you can drop your shield. This way you can get another full shield so you'll be able to log in and collect again before it runs out. Second, you don't lose shield time for searching, so you can look for a base, and if you don't find one that will be worth at least as much as you'd lose from getting attacked, no harm, no foul. Yes, it does suck that you may not get the full advantage of attacking 3 times under a shield, but sometimes you just want to do an attack so you bite the bullet. Most of the time you can still come out ahead even if it's not as far ahead as if you took full advantage, but you're really not losing anything.

    The problem with your proposal though is everyone would just do 2 attacks every time they get a shield and still get the full advantage of a shield, taking more bases out of the matching queue for longer.

    I think this is a GREAT idea.

    Just give free strikes everytime you get a shield. The number of free strikes can be TUNED to make sure adjust the availability of bases. The free strikes will expire when the shield expire.

    The idea is don't make the shield time a "resource" and force everyone to raid continuously or let the resource drain away. By changing it to free strikes, SC can achieve whatever aims they want and yet allow all of us the freedom to take time off the game to like errr sleep or plan war raids without impacting farming.

    duh.... you do know that I get hit for 2.5k DE almost everytime I drop my shield. I kind of see where SC is trying to go with the TH no shield thing and I agree with it.

    They are trying to compensate by allowing us to attack multiple times during one shield. The problem is that to take adv of this, you have to raid regularly like every couple of hours.

    People
    1) with days jobs
    2) who needs to sleep

    will not be able to raid every couple of hours.... Just change it to free strikes which can be executed anytime during your shield will achieve SC aims and make the game more convenient for rest of us.

    About the first part: well right now you will shorten your shield after an attack, making the chance that someone will attack you when your collectors are full higher. With my idea, they will attack it when they're not full, for the most part.

    About the middle part: That is the exact thing that I want fixed.

    About the last part: I don't really see a problem with that. I'm sure many people do more than 2 attacks at a time, or at least in a 12 hour period. I attack about once per hour, with offline time in between.
