I was wondering if you gain xp when you upgrade walls cos most other TH7 bases i see have level 6 walls whereas mine are level 4 and 5 but I have 48 xp which is more than most of them. I do donate a lot though.
Walls upgrade do not affect or increase your experience levels. Troops donation is single largest factor that divides two similar bases. Just by looking at high experience level and relatively weak base, you can safely assume that someone donates a lot.
Similarly, a very advanced base with low experience level shows either the base is gemmed or the person is not donating enough.
