I am deeply annoyed with the PBT and VILLAGE GUARD and I am not OK with the update too...
If you remove these shield changes from the so called biggest update of CoC then what else is left in it ???
No Quests, No Clan War Tournaments, No new Dark Troop, No Arranged War... None of the highly requested features have been implemented in this update and then calling it the biggest update of all time sounds preposterous...
I wonder what Supercell were doing for 6 months ??? In next update Supercell will try to clear the mess that this update has created and 2 more months will pass... So after 8 months what we all got in the name of update is a big fat ZERO...
I agree there are bugs with any update but the number of bugs in this one and how much they actually affect the game suggest the testing is suspect at best and a lot worst than what you should expect from such a big company. Remember bugs with ios/android generally aren't bugs that makes the device completely unusable by majority of users. PBT is basically making the game unplayable for 1 hr every 3 hrs. I don't think thats the intended purpose of PBT but its what it is... on top of the bugs too where a lot of people are getting PBT when they aren't suppose to.
That isn't even the only game breaking bugs, there are units freezing and its happening a lot vs any bases with double stacked walls.
War loot being nerf'd due to new weight scaling, which wasn't really well thought out given the "war win bonus" now instantly drops for pretty much everyone while attacks will actually be slightly more expensive (i.e. extra DE spell). Also the match making will be quite messed up given the limited weight th11 have. You will see clans without th10s matched up vs th11 if the system isn't changed. I.e. current war we are facing a not very skilled clan (we beat them last time and even with the advantage, the war is close this time, basically a gowipe clan but its th10 vs th9 gowipes) but its 1 th11, 6 th10s vs 3 th10s and their #6 is actually pretty much the same weight as our #1. A TH11 that was a max th10 + all new th11 building only has 93k weight (im guessing his weight BEFORE the update was actually more than it is now, heroes and walls aren't max). Side note they also happen to have more th9, th8s, and a dless th10 to boot. So the war on paper was pretty stacked against us (again since they are a gowipe clan, it'll be close, it all depends on our limited atks vs their th10s/th11s and rather or not they can 3 star our th9s with th10 gowipe).
Basically a patch is suppose to introduce new features and fix problems/bugs. Supercell hasn't fixed many problems (at least not war match making) but created a ton more bugs. I wonder if the hero/tesla bug has been fixed yet... that bug has been on going for at least 6+ months. If anything this patch seems rushed before xmas just to try to gain additional revenue. Clearly given the number of bugs, testing was not done nearly as well as it should've been.

I'm not exactly sure how it works but I can confirm that the 2nd queued troops on all four barracks conitnue training regardless if there was an exclamation mark above the barracks while searching or nexting in multiplayer. The longer you next, the more queued troops are supposedly training
We've always thought that the 2nd troops queued only starts training when we deploy troops of equal camp space on the battlefield to "make room", but that's not the case.
Try it if you are using Giants in your attacks.
5 mins cook time for giants
5 mins of SEARCHING or NEXTING (for better results for confirmation).
Let's say you attacked on the fifth minute, deployed all troops, and used all 3 mins and 30 seconds of your attack time = 8 mins and 30secs have gone by.
Going back to your village you will have 8 giants, not 4, already in your CAMPS while the 3rd queued giant is well into the seconds of completion.
Judging by this, the search/next time is counted towards training troops, PROVIDED you attacked.
I think this is one of the smartest responses (on the first page) but I disagree. All supercell needs to do is double the amount of gold and elixer avalible from the pumps and mines. This should make up for the deficit in the economy.
Or reduce the cost and time for all the armies greatly. 10 times less cost and 5 times less cook time. Or rebalances of them.
Or possibly a little of both. However that is wayyy to risky since it involves to much change.
Agreed the problems are temporary ONLY if we complainif we all sat there and said "So how's war going John" we would send a message that the game is fine, when its clearly not. I actually encourage people to complain, protest and petition the changes they dislike. They HAVE to listen, just like how they reduced the damage to get a shield from 40% to 30%.
Supercell are not a big company, they are a very small company with a very, very big revenue stream from a game that was a cash cow.......until now. This update has been designed, hyped and implemented very badly.......amateurish in fact. They are over confident about their understanding of their game's USP and, with the enthusiasm of a bungling Mr Bean, they have managed to kill the fatted calf. They were lazy and unimaginative in trying to keep their high rolling gemmers on board with another TH level. In persuit of some perceived perfectionism they have altered the game radically, most of which has gone over the heads of their millions of regualr players who are now frustrated and annoyed.
Clan chat has got very quiet now, people are doing other things already, bases are parked and wars are becoming difficult to resource. Supercell need to buy in some professional expertise to steer them into calmer waters and re-establish the bond with their customers and the credibilty of their game.
