How can I play again?

I am a max defense th 9 in crystal league, no one has given me a shield since the update. Now I can't play for longer then a few minutes before i get kicked out and cant attack. Whats up? Should I put all my loot and th and stuff away from turrets to get a shield? How much higher should I be?

But to make it tempting enough for someone to attack you and use enough troops for you to get a shield is impossible. I have managed it on my TH8 account by having a semi-exposed TH but within range of some defences. Nothing I have tried on my TH9 account works. I am getting penalised for having a decent base that nobody wants to attack. Even holding off spending my resources so that I am a juicier target is not working.

I have spent a year and a half playing this game every day, willing to contribute by buying gems regularly and helping to run three clans. I enjoy learning new strategies and hated barching. I thought this update was going to be great but if I can't play any more, what is the point? Of course people will pick the easiest targets.
