Ok so for those who had issues and could not download / update clash.
Download 1mobile market ( it's basically a similar type of playstore) it's a very trusted source, install clash through this playstore and there you have it clash of the clans is updated and it works
So I aquired a really nice tablet (LG G Pad 7.0) just to play games on, but I am unable to find it in playstore due to being not combatible. I have been an LG fan for a while the games works fine on every LG phone I have had. Is there any way around this to get the game? It has the latest software and all that. Is there possibly an .apk I could try? I have been playing Clash for over 2 years, and this is very disappointing.

Dunno which version of Android that runs but I'd imagine you can sideload it some way.

workaround
I got past the issue by going to Play Store, My Apps, Installed, "Update All"
The update ran
I opened the game from the icon on the homescreen as per normal, worked fine
After trying many suggestions from the forum to update Clash of Clans over the last several hours, one of the suggestions finally worked. Uninstall the old Clash of Clans app. Install 1Mobile Market app and download Clash of Clans from there. Probably need to clear data and cache on Google Play app as well. Thanks to whoever originally suggested this.
this is my issue... before the update, clash of clans works well on my android device... after the th11 update it says "clash of clans is not compatible with your device"... can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem??? thanks
