    Why merge all threads?

Some threads are actually useful, yet they get merged, never to be heard from again. Most should be merged, but there are a few threads that are actually useful. Yet, all are merged, even if the threads barely relate. Why? Having a few threads with different topics but the same general topic is fine, as long as there aren't too many. I think a few threads are actually useful but still get merged, and those few shouldn't be merged. Not all of them, but a few of them.

There are many threads that stand out and are left to stand alone. Most do not and get merged.

It would be easier for everyone if you stayed on the sticky and initiate your questions or discussions there. If it's a unique question, it'll stand, but this late in the game there are not many unique topics left that hasn't already been discussed in individual threads or answered within the stickies.

If you have further questions, or have specifics on certain aspects of merges, you are free to PM any moderator with your question.
