As a TH9, I'm not sure what's awkward about it. The more people moving up to to TH11 from TH10 means more people increasing their Available Loot Penalty when deciding to attack my TH9 village.
Yes, but now those greedy TH10s will become TH11s and can't hurt us...until we go to TH10

Th9 is untouchable. It will be even better...extra 30 seconds, extra spell.
Th9 remains the best TH.
I have nothing to worry about since I rarely get hit by TH10s in gold, and even if they do hit me, most of the time, they can't steal the majority of my loot. The ones that do usually end up using their whole army (spells and troops).
