Who else is buying a one day shield tomorrow morning??

Regarding attacking while shielded:

• Being shielded no longer prevents entering multiplayer matchmaking, browsing targets, or attempting revenge
• Executing a multiplayer or revenge attack while shielded will deduct 3 hours from the remaining shield time
• Additional attacks while shielded will deduct increasing amounts of shield (4 hours, 5 hours, etc...)

So that would give you 168H worth of shield and by the 15th attack that would cost 18H (considering you do all the attacks in the first 18H) worth of shield the shield would go down. Never tryed it since the update isnt live but that my understanding

I believe the penalties increase by more than 1 hour as you attack more. I think I saw 4/5/6/8/10/12 somewhere

No need to buy one. In 7 hours I'll do an attack or 2 (my gold will be capped out) and then take one last free shield. Then I'll wake up with the update ready and I'll still have a couple hours left on my shield.

Does the maint extend a shield? For example, I currently have 19h left on my shield. Update should come when I have around 4 hours left

My whole clan and I quit over this update about 2 weeks ago. Not one out of the 30ish accounts bases are being attacked anymore. Totally out of the que.
Better believe this update is taking the game down. Was so obvious to us all that it was 100 percent about more cash that we all left.
Was fun while it lasted and thanks for the memories original crew of SC.

To the OP, won't be buying a shield myself I want to give the update some time and see how I'm affected by it. There's a chance I will buy a week long shield from time to time in the future and attack the whole way through it.

Still missing the point in the update that would make me use gems bought with money. Yes free shield will be gone, but guess what. Played good portion of th7-9 with my th inside. Sure sometimes I got rolled but in the end what I lost could be replaced with one raid and quite often raiders failed badly.

The answer is yes with the new formula in the update just be sure not to dismiss the shield entirely!

I have never once needed to buy a shield and come tomorrow you'll be even better off cause you'll get an easy shield right away anyways.....

There is no way that shield changes make it easier to get a shield than it is currently.

Gems are worth more than loot. You can generate loot by raiding but clearly not for gems.l. Unless you're going inactive I wouldn't buy a shield for saving loot.
