Why are people dropping?

I'm a TH10 that isn't sure of going to TH11. I went from crystal to champion league because of the updates I've read. Not sure of what's gonna happen. For me it is easier to go down if champion league isn't good post update.

A lot are posting that the reason is because you see a lot of weak bases in silver/gold. This is true but after spending a significant amount of time there recently I can tell you they also tend to have very little loot to raid. The ones with loot tend to be just as strong as the bases higher up. Whether there are a lot of weak bases with loot currently hiding behind a free shield is yet to be seen but I am very sceptical.

All in in all if we are going to be attacking TH10s (and we are), I for one would rather have any bonus than none if the level of the targets is the same.

I hope farmers in champs change from these square bases I see all the time to bases that have more structures outside and are easily barched. This may be the new th snipe.

I can definitely see this happening as a base with more junk buildings outside is much more likely to give you a cheap shield the if you have them inside your walls.

Just raided one for 6k dark in gold3 . TBH I also stay in gold because it's hectic at work and I only manage to pull of 4 or 5 attacks a day now and my war attacks. And here my storages are more safe then when I'm sitting in mid champs.

i m not dropping as i m still in silver, and i will stay here as noone would dare giving me shield here (forget the loot, not even from collectors unless there r lightening on drills), there r not many upgrades on th11 and those will easily be done by next update without attacking much. (obviously except the heroes).
My aim at the moment is defense achievement. with 1 defense in each 15 mins(due to vg), there can be 48 defenses in 12 hrs, so 48x20 = 960 trophies, i will login each 12 hr, drop to 1000, come back to 2000 in next 12 hrs and repeat. If some fool dare to lightening on my drills, i will make sure that revenge button works propely, specially after the update when that guy will also not get the shield.

My reasoning is that when I become a TH11, TH9s will no longer be a farming option. Farming off TH10s is not a problem (as long as you have decent heroes) but will require a decent spell investment to storage raid and will often end up with only half the storages looted.

While there are plenty of TH10s to raid in silver/gold league why would I attack them there when I can attack them in Champ/Titan and get a decent win bonus as well. Or I could just Barch for the win bonus and forget about the storages which might be the most efficient method of all.

So so I ask the TH10s who are dropping trophies - what is your reasoning for doing this?

Great question. I think most are dropping because they know there will be more defenses so they want to go where people are worse attackers. Also, because they aren't a good attacker either and they now can't survive on snipes they want to drop.

I survive on 50% hits so my life does not change much with the update. If anything there should be more loot available. Also, I will actually have more shields because I won't break one every time I attack.

So I have been pushing because I figure I am not 100% sure what will happen in terms of pairings, loot and defense but I am fairly certain that with lower % destroyed for shields and no snipes it will be harder to trophy push.

Dropped from titan 2 to silver, I'm farming with 3-5 healers and maxed heroes plus a bunch of hogs; I find loads of collector raids down there...

Although I'm a TH8.5, I fully agree with this logic and have been climbing trophies as well. Planning on raising hybrid armies, barch with a bit of war troops sprinkled in, and going for storages. League bonus helps me keep the profits high.

Thats where i will find rushed bases and i believe that my stored loot will be safer down there.

Plenty of rushed bases in mid Crystal. And lots of loot in storages.

I am dropping all the way. A week or two will determine if I drop the game all together. SC will regret this update, people may even be fired, after the game tanks. I give it 3 weeks until SC is in total panic mode to fix it.
