    My reasoning is that when I become a TH11, TH9s will no longer be a farming option. Farming off TH10s is not a problem (as long as you have decent heroes) but will require a decent spell investment to storage raid and will often end up with only half the storages looted.

    While there are plenty of TH10s to raid in silver/gold league why would I attack them there when I can attack them in Champ/Titan and get a decent win bonus as well. Or I could just Barch for the win bonus and forget about the storages which might be the most efficient method of all.

    So so I ask the TH10s who are dropping trophies - what is your reasoning for doing this?
    Most of the th10 bases in silver/gold are farming. More of The ones in masters/champs are maxed and are hard core players. It is easier to raid a rushed or underdeveloped th10 than a maxed th10

    Yes there are weaker TH10 bases in lower leagues but they also tend to be the ones with absolutely no loot in them. The ones that have loot in them are just as strong if not stronger than the ones in low champ. Also these are the people who will be attacking your base as well. It won't be the preemie TH10s that sit there feeding off their collectors. So all in all the bases you attack and the people who attack you will be just as high level as the ones in low champ...but you won't get the league bonus.

    Also why won't people be able to farm collectors and league bonuses after the update? Have I missed something here?

    My reasoning is that in Titan, I almost never 70% any base, while in champ3, I will get 70% most of the time, which globally makes champ league bonus better than titan league bonus. Add to that that staying in titan, I'll probably get crushed by TH11 gemmers who will raid me with maxed witches, and I think it will probably be my best choice.
    Yes I agree that low Champ seems to be the best balance of league bonus to base strength. That is where I am heading myself.

    let them go

    Just let them drop and don't ask questions. The void they leave in higher leagues will mean more inactive bases for people who understand your logic and reasoning.

    They will suck up all the loot in the lower leagues then complain about no loot. Meanwhile, the leagues they vacate will be ripe for the picking. It happens after every major update.

    Just let them keep thinking it is wise to drop.

    My reason to drop is to collect loot from Dead TH10, and also to avoid getting my loot stolen before the update.

    Im with you, bonus farming seems like by far the most logical choice to me, unless your boost budget is pretty limitless.

    Yes, silver and gold will be the place you're slightly more likely to find the kind of th10s you can storage smash, but at the expense of serious hero damage and spell use.

    That's a significant outlay and delay per raid, with no league bonus.

    If you're an on-off through the day kinda guy, then yeah go for it with big coring raids....but you might as well get a bonus for it.
    If you want to do any kind of session raiding though, that's an awful lot of boosts to raid in less than 1hr 30, which adds up to a lot if you plan on doing a whole TH with it.

    Champ 3 is not a pushing league. Hasn't been for a long time. Whether it becomes a bit more like it was as weaker are forced lower remains to be seen.

    TH10s with 50+ hero levels, 9.5s with 40+, silent noobs<> needs you!

    a bunch of reasons

    1) zero defense bases are going to get pushed down to sub 200

    2) inactive/poorly laid out and casual bases are all going to get knocked way down in league. Many of these will still have their TH out after the update. Except now they may not get a shield as often.

    3) The changes to the loot bonus system in spite of being called "substantially increased" are actually being nerfed by being tied to damage %. This makes farming lower league even more attractive because down there you couldnt care less about trophies or league loot bonus.

    4) A big incentive to maintain cups is gone. No more quick TH snipes when you log out. Many maintained cups so they could build up an army break shield then log out knowing most times they would get sniped. They might do this multiple time a day.

    5) Before you were penalized by being low. Your DE would get zapped regularly and you would not get a free shield with TH out. Now there is no penalty to stay low and loot is better.

    I am sure there are other reasons/in game nuances that favor low league efficiency farming but the above just come to mind off top of my head.

    It's been said that Match Making has been further tweaked to offer THs of the same level. So TH9s should see mainly TH9s etc.

    Dropping isn't a bad idea I guess. TH11s down low will mainly see other TH11s or TH10s. If you go low enough the TH10s will be very premmie.

    Personally I'm going to wait it out in Titan and just see what happens. No need to drop yet based on speculation.

    @stitch

    agreed if your already up there in titan no reason to actively drop, its easy to drop cups.

    If not, like me, no incentive to push up. I sure would love an incentive to push though. I havnt since TH6 when i got my champion league gems.

    I'm farming dark in gold because it's easier to get and I don't have to train a heavy dark cost army to do storage raids (gibarch).

    I am glad you mentioned barching for the league bonus. I used to do this all the time when I was very active, but forgot about this strategy. I will definitely be doing this in the highest league I can do it in without two many nexts.

    I hope farmers in champs change from these square bases I see all the time to bases that have more structures outside and are easily barched. This may be the new th snipe.
