Why are people dropping?

I see a lot of posts from TH10s saying they are dropping trophies in preparation for the update. Am I the only person who is going the other way?

My reasoning is that when I become a TH11, TH9s will no longer be a farming option. Farming off TH10s is not a problem (as long as you have decent heroes) but will require a decent spell investment to storage raid and will often end up with only half the storages looted.

While there are plenty of TH10s to raid in silver/gold league why would I attack them there when I can attack them in Champ/Titan and get a decent win bonus as well. Or I could just Barch for the win bonus and forget about the storages which might be the most efficient method of all.

So so I ask the TH10s who are dropping trophies - what is your reasoning for doing this?

I hover around 2000 trophies and farm. Loot is great. I plan on staying around the same level.

And are you hitting all TH10s at the moment?

Well the general perception (not commenting on if this is true or not) is that the stronger bases and better attackers are higher and the weaker bases with poor attackers are lower. Now that people will be attacked regularly and will have to farm storages instead of collectors and league bonuses they want to be where the poor attackers with weaker bases are.

I will probably drop from Titan to champ3, but I'm still waiting for the update so I can experience the loot by myself before I do so.

My reasoning is that in Titan, I almost never 70% any base, while in champ3, I will get 70% most of the time, which globally makes champ league bonus better than titan league bonus. Add to that that staying in titan, I'll probably get crushed by TH11 gemmers who will raid me with maxed witches, and I think it will probably be my best choice.

I expect it's the non-maxed TH 10s dropping to silver where the loot is better and they are less likely to get smashed by TH 11s like you. That's my guess.

I dropped to fill storages fast gold and elixir is maxed and dark is at 120k also have 1.356 million of each and 7k dark in my cc ......I'm ready for the update heheheh

Thats where i will find rushed bases and i believe that my stored loot will be safer down there.

I'm not moving at the moment, but I'm guessing people would rather hit farming Th10s than ones trophy pushing. Farming 10s are going to have a lot more loot and are probably more early 10 (which makes them easy to hit with cheaper armies and without spells).

I'm in Crystal right now, I hit mostly 10s, and I find a lot more full storages and some collectors than I do around M1-Champ. They're also a lot more early stage 10 than max 10.

You will have to wait for fourteen (? more ?) days to become the TH11 you wish to be...
meanwhile, you will be a classical TH10, farming like before you hit the red button.

In an other side, being in higher leagues, while Gemmed TH11 start to farm bonus, will be a serious war place.
