Would this new feature be good?

Hi people. I would like to put forward a new idea: a Troop Reception Limit.

As you can see the name itself is pretty self explanatory. This is how it works: you cannot receive any troops if you have a donation count less than half of your reception count. So if you receive 10 troops, you need to donate at least 5, otherwise you can't be given any troops. This idea is intended to punish selfish players who just ask troops every time yet they don't bother even donating cheap troops (like archers).

    What do you guys think?

I see no reason for this.

Firstly, if they are selfish they deserve the demotion/boot if they are going against your clan policy, or alternatively actively not donate to them and encourage others to adopt the same if you are leader etc.

Secondly, some need more troops than others so the donations would always be skew.

Thirdly, this will have an impact on request and go clans.

I still wouldn't boot out an excellent war attacker who is selfish. This feature gives clan leaders/cos more comfort because they don't have to continuously monitor their members' profiles; the game fixes it itself.

Yes but your approach/fix would force them to leave anyway if they are selfish they are unlikely to change their ways rapidly, secondly it forces people to donate so you will get a lot of bogus donations, in clans where there is a mixed bag of trophy pushers and farmers it will cause chaos "really wanted that level 3 barbarian thankyou - i know not your fault you were forced to donate it"

And as I said it affects request and go clans.

To donate is to give freely not be tied to a barrel over it.

Hmmm you do have a good point there. Thank you for the feedback. But what would be your approach to dealing with selfish players? Give them the boot?

It depends whether you consider it to have a significant impact on the clan harmony.
If it severely harms the harmony of the clan then yes I would probably boot them (good attacker in war or not).

As a leader of the clan it is the whole clan you have to think about.

If you are willing to put up with it then that is the other option.

Obviously, as I mentioned before there are discouragements you can also adopt such as name and shame, warnings 2 or three strikes and your out kind of thing. Encouraging members not to donate to said individual and lead by example. It might cause them to leave but then that really says something of the person and you are better off without, better to have people you can rely on in a clan than someone who is likely to turn sour over things, as this too could happen.

    Find meaning of donation 1st

Thing u said is trading, NOT donating.

Better there should be new option in clan setting to change donation to trading and trading to donation.

Terrible idea, this would hurt more people than it would do good.
you need to boot or have a talk with the clan mate if he is just leeching troops.
some people require more troops than they donate even if they donate consistently

I'm sorry, but this will ruin Request & Leave clans, as well as lower leveled people who HAVE to donate lvl 2 or 3 troops. Also, what if you're an alternate account? Your good account will donate troops, but, since the alt account has to donate troops, it won't really work out, amirait?
