Hi all,
So obviously everyone is worried about less loot now that TH snipes are gone, and the idea of defensive loot bonuses has come up several times. I've got an idea on how to (maybe) implement it successfully.
Since now they've shifted to where the league bonus you get on offense is based on percentage, perhaps they could also base the defensive bonus on the supplement percentage. For example, create a league bonus based on 100% points in each specific league. For our test league, let's say the full bonus is 100,000. If an attacker gets 60% destruction on their attack, they are awarded 60K for their league bonus, and the other 40k is given to the defender, for "successfully defending" that other 40% of their base.
Now, the idea of what is considered a "successful defense" may need to be altered, but in the loom of what many are anticipating to be a major loot crisis, i think something like this could hold water.
I think this system could work, because I don't think there are enough outright defensive wins to really pump much loot into the economy. This would turn a technical defensive loss into somewhat of a bonus.
I'm sure there could be several modifications and improvements to this idea, as it's a very rough draft (I thought of it 2 minutes ago). What do you guys think? Could this work or not? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks guys!
