    Exclamation The New Shield Update!

    Hello Guys and Gals!
I'm new to the COC Forums but am a very active player of CoC for some time now. I figured I would ask a question and see. I've been reading alot of the topics in regards to the new shield protocol. So my question is (And this one is more referring to the Shields you can buy using Gems, although it would pretty cool to implement it into the attacking situations aswell.) Trophy and Loot Shields. What if you could purchase a shield for either? So say you are a major Trophy pusher, but you're going out of town with no Cell service for a week or just won't be able to play due to finals etc, you could purchase a shield that protects your trophies but not your loot. So you can still be attacked but one or the other would still be protected *Based on what's important to you loot/trophies.*
Perhaps it can be implemented so when you go to settings tab on the right you can select trophies or loot and then when you are attacked it only protects that (During the shield duration, not in general, so say you get attacked and gain a 12 hour shield, during those 12 hours you can still get attacked but it'll protect either loot or trophies.) I'm just kind've thinking out loud here and seeing what people think of this Idea. You know maybe instead of everybody bickering and arguing about this problem, if we all could come up with a single idea and present ♥♥♥ with what we as a community would prefer, maybe they'd be more prone to listen than if we just bicker at them constantly. Now Before everyone say's "Change it back to the way it was blah blah blah." Supercell obviously saw that system to be a problem with the game. So I doubt they will change it back to the way it was. They run numbers and find solutions to every aspect of the game. Which means they had a reason to do the change in the first place, but maybe we can help them find the best solution for the problem.

    Let the flaming begin lol.

I don't really like the ideas of protecting loot OR trophies, shouldn't shields just protect everything?

Yes but I mean in regards to the whole (If just TH is destroyed no Shield) Would it not be better this way? To select if you are TH Sniping to protect your loot or trophies? Instead of making it none existant at all?

If you are a "major" trophy pusher in a high league, then you are likely to only be attacked for trophies not loot. So this half shield won't mean much there.

Likewise at a low league people are after your loot most attacks.

Exactly, so this way you would sacrifice one of the 2 instead of both due to the update that is at hand.

I'm looking for Opinions. I'm wanting to see people's opinions and ways they think it can be fixed without saying "Change it back to the way it was." Not people just looking to increase their post count. Topics, are to remain ON Topic. Not ♥♥♥♥ posts. Aka, I personally don't care how far you think I will get, nor do I care how "You" Communicate around here. Scroll through the forums and you will see a lot worse than what I have posted, I've been apart of the forums for less than a day and I've seen way worse than what I posted. So as I told the other guy, if you have nothing useful to say to contribute to my topic, refrain from posting. All Opinions about the TOPIC are welcome good or bad. Unnecessary off topic posts such as yours, are not.

Lol I am all about trying it out. I am a dedicated player and that will not change. But the idea of this post was to take away the negative and try and bring some positive outcomes. Have you seen the topics from here since the shield update announcement? Seriously need some positivity which this could make people think know positively.
