So with this new update there is a lot of whining about how people are going to have to start defending the town halls now. To counteract this whining you should make it so that you get a loot bonus for a successful defense. Same as loot bonus for attacks. Or make it so that for every enemy troop you defend againest and kill, you get half its worth in elixir and for every troop you don't kill you get nothing. Meaning that if you defend against a attack of 10 dragons you could get 180,000 elixir (assuming the dragons cost 36,000 a piece to make). You would do the same with dark elixir troops, and you only get the bonus if you prevent the enemy from getting all three stars. I know you already have the tombstone thing, but to be honest I'm not sure how it works but I feel like it's not quite as rewarding as this idea. Another addition to this could be that all the coin they spend on clicking the next button could go into a giant pot, and you could win all or a percentage of it, if you denfend their attack.
You could go with my idea but keep the tombstone method, so that the player has to collect it the next time they log on. But you could also add a hero called the grim reaper. Essentially this guy would go around and collect tombstones. He could also follow your troops and collect elixir from the dead. He would not attack buildings, and would only be targeted if there is nothing else left in defensive area of your defenses. You could make him hover so he can go over walls but can still be shot at by cannons.

I was against this idea of a defensive bonus but after the upcoming update it would be handy to have a little bonus since there are going to be more breaks between playing sessions.
