Th 9s don't have to move up to th 10. New, shinier th 11 already looming ahead. War-wise, th 11 should be able to smash th 10. All those th 9s need to do is to upgrade to th 11, gain new offense and begin 3- starring th 10. No need to build all those th 10 & 11 defenses (that only increase war weight anyway).Originally Posted by twinblade321

I have been TH10 forever and it was never as much fun as other THs because not being able to 3-starred another maxed-out TH10 is wrong. In my clan, all the TH9 players ended up with more stars in war than me (does that make sense?). Wars are boring when you have nothing to win: if you get only 1 star trying to get 3 out of a TH10 you have failed; if you go for the almost sure 2 stars is not fun, and that's what other clan members expect.
I'll upgrade to TH11 as soon as the update is out, so I'm not asking for me, I just think TH10 is not fun. TH11 is going to make it even less enjoyable.

I dont think you are understanding why TH10 needs a new troop.
When you upgrade from TH6 to TH7 you get Barb King, Dragons, minions and hogs.
When you upgrade from TH7 to TH8 you get Pekka, Valk and Golems
When you upgrade from TH8 to TH9 you get Archer Queen, Witch, and Hound
When you upgrade from TH9 to TH10 you get..... NOTHING
and on top of that.. we have no new spell since TH9 will now get Jump and Freeze when they upgrade the lab. When going from TH9 to TH10 you will get an extra spell slot when upgrading lab... and thats it.

I dont disagree with the fact we got the strongest defense but we dont get a new troop to combat it.
Like when the introduced eagle artillery they said they were introducing a new hero to combat/balance
TH9 can 3 star TH9 without max heros
TH10 can only 3 star a poorly designed TH10 base if they have Max Heros.. Kinda makes TH10 not worth having

That is the point. They didn't make th 11 for nothing. If th 10s are given chance to sit comfortably, who's going to upgrade to th 11 ? Maxed th 10s will, but there are not that many of them. Lot of other players need incentives to upgrade to 11.
This is marketing. Once they released brand new product, they want as many people to get it. They don't want people to hold on to their old product.

thats only if youre bad at attacking. i attacked decently designed bases that are somewhat weak but were really close to my war strength (was the same number as me, th 9 defenses like me with 15/15 heroes and he has infernos) and i got a 3 star. you just need to improve finding the weaknesses in bases

Yeah unlike what you are matched against, I'm talking about a mid - max th10 I have just cannons left to do along with Heros and walls. I usually am faced against all max defenses with Lego or higher walls. I thought th7 got a king, 3 new troops and a new spell, th8 got 3 new troops and 2 new spells and th9 got a queen 2 new troops and 3 new spells. And that th10 got nothing. I must have been mistaken
