    I think people should be able to prioritize which kind of war bonus they need the most. We all have hit that point in time in which either elixir or gold was completely useless since all our structures/troops that use it are maxed to the town hall level, right?

    So my idea is that we should be able to choose if we want to receive regular gold/elixir bonus, or maybe more gold and no elixir or the other way around. BTW, dark elixir would not be an option in this trade off and you would get only whatever value you first got because it is a much more expensive resource to put a price comparison.

    An example to clarify my idea:
    Let's say your total war bonus is 500k gold and 500k elixir. With this new feature you would choose to either receive 500k of each resource or 750k of just one resource. The other 250k left out of the equation would be forfeited as a trading tax, just to penalize people for taking extra of one type.

    Tell me what you guys think about this. Hope the community finds it as good as I do and it reaches Supercell devs to talk about it.

    This will probably never happen. It would negatively impact the game economy by removing 500k of available loot in that category (elixir or gold). You multiply this by say 500,000 players from one war period of 2 days and it results in a 250,000,000 loot loss in the economy in just 2 days.

    There are millions of players with hundreds of thousands of wars going on at any given time. When you factor in those numbers you are removing trillions of one loot type in a week alone, while increasing the other loot type by half of the value of the trillions. Since gold is more sought after at TH9, that will result in an elixir shortage at the th9 level after 3 months. TH8s will also be looking for gold, resulting in an elixir shortage there after 2-3 months. It will level out at the th7 range but above that you would have loot shortages because most people would select gold as the reward. Initially it would seem nice and would work but it progressively compounds into a major sway in the economy.

    This would likely harm the economy, so I don't see this happening.
