I had honestly never seen this before, I would recommend you place a Photo of the attack

Right, but there can be multiple interruptions via the server or internet wise. It is a possibility that there could have been a glitch or bug with the server. It happens sometimes.
This needs to be fixed :/ I'm in champs 1 so every cup counts I rarely win defences too, it's a right kick in the gutt
I believe it will with the upcoming update.
Its not a glitch or bug whatsoever. The reason you gained 0 cups on a defense is due to the huge difference in cups between you and the attacker. Thats how it works (so far).
