This new update is changing farming bases everywhere. Now people who need loot for their upgrade are going to get attacked continuously because you need 30% for 1 star. Also, the town hall with have 25000 k gold 25000 elixir and 200 dark elixir, while this does sound appealing, no one will place their town hall outside because of the 30% rule. For every attack, you lose 3 hours of your shield which is good since we don't lose our shield but it is extremely hard to get one in the first place.
The clash of clans system, (I am not lying), thrives on high th's being able to steal from low th's. This is true whether you like it or not. I'm currently th8 and I went through the pain of being attacked by high town halls and I still am. But I still like this system because it suits me and most of the Clash Of Clans community perfectly. But changing this is terrible because now more elixir on troops, for people who just upgraded town hall tough bases to attack and now more raids on our bases due to the new one star thing.
So now all I can say is I'm not really looking forward to the new update if this is what I will be seeing. Clash Of Clans will be great until the new update comes out. Now my base will get attacked, I will lose so much resources and trophies, and my clan will kick me for some thing I can't control. So to not get attacked in this update, either A(I use up my resources as soon as I get them) or B(I buy shields with money which is just what Supercell wants us to do). I never thought Supercell focused of their income but I guess I was wrong. After this update comes, I might just delete this app.

i can understand what your point is but supercell as a company will always focus on their income and we can't blame them.

for the Town hall sniping point i think it is good that they are encouraging serious players who do full attacks.

heres the things that ive heard that reduces loot from this update
-more people in shields thus less people to attack
that means more abandoned bases will be showing up because theyre further behind in the queue and put actives in front
-no more free loot
many of the people who abused free loot spent it all before anyone could take it and circulate it. the safe shields will help improve the cup rate of the semi active and make them get more loot from being in higher leagues which can lead to higher vault raids from said people not spending it fast enough from PBT.
-everyone will be wasting more elixir and dark and waste it all
theres a complex series of additional loot from stronger attacks on the weaker town halls so hes getting loot bonus and the chain of loot that can be found from abandoned bases and th 6 bullying 5 and 7 bullying 6 and so on until town hall 10s bully the loot as well. i used to think spells wasted all the elixir in the economy but no one thought otherwise about that
-you cant farm in titans
well trophy pushing isnt exactly supposed to yield great loot. but you can get a mill loot from getting 100k of each from resources and 2 of each vaults with loot bonus thus getting 2-5k dark depending if you get the vault or not. which should keep you going up.
