If it wasn't intended from the start why wait 3 years to fix it? I mean sure. If it was an unwanted exploit which manifested early on, they should have changed it back then. Why leave it for 3 years to have people get used to it and many MANY people base their gameplay around it and then change it?

I agree it should have been addressed a Lot sooner than this, but most games that have exploits than give an advantage are usually dealt with relatively quick. It's just a mere bump in the road. We'll just have to see how they plan this out.
But don't worry, a month from now there'll be a video on YouTube showing how to get a shield by leaving camps, huts, barracks, and other non essential buildings, along with th outside for an easy shield.

That's why I started today both heroes upgrading,at least 2 upgrades b4 the update.

I'm sure, VERY SURE, if they add heroes in war while upgrading players would be more grateful and happy.

1. Like you, I am in a race to finish off the last three levels of the King to get 30/30 before the update. I fear the worst once it comes. I am very, VERY glad I grinded those royals all these months, with this disaster of an update now around the corner.

2. If they are trying to squeeze ten gems out of as many players as possible, it is completely laughable to even suggest upgrading heroes being allowed in war.

This "significant increase" spin makes me think back to last years Hero nerf update, where they tried to disguise the nerf with "strong Hero abilities". Kind of wish I could find that sneak peek to compare.

I would say it is much more easier to implement a complex fix to the 'Free shield' issue, with 2 and a half years of game data than say just 6 months.

The major issue I see with the first 3 sneak peeks are that they are emphasizing on "FULL ATTACKS".

The question is what kind of "full attack" can you create in 3 hours playing time before getting kicked off?

Hero recovery : 1 hour at LVL 16
Spell creation: 1 hour and 20 mins (for lightning or heals only) Add 10 more minutes for each rage, jump, freeze you need.

By the looks of this, I can only do 2 "full attacks" per playing time before getting kicked off, granted I don't have any barracks upgrading.

Wait, it maybe wasn't intended this way but it has become one of the most popular games of all time .... would it be so sucsessfull if everything where like they intended ? IDK?!? maybe .. maybe not but sometimes the best things happens without beiing intended ... sry for bad english but you got what i mean ?!?

If banks gave out 16% interst on a 1 yr CD instead of 6%, don't you think people would capitalize on that? It definitely wasn't their intentions, but once they change it doesn't mean people will stop buying CDs. Especially if that's a competitive % rate.

remember the 50% of the army rule... this will be rather difficult to achieve unless they make the game field that much larger that you can basically set up two bases on it which would mimic the current TH out scenario while forcing the user to use 50% of his army....
